Possibly early forming 'lenticular' clouds. They tend to form over high peaks. Nice vid Dave, thanks. 👍

I've recently come across your channel and really enjoy the videos, I used to walk in the Lakes every month from Derbyshire before moving to Norfolk. You did well to find a window in the weather - here in Scotland we've gone from full spring warmth 2 weeks ago to heavy snow and rain on hills for 4 days and forecaste of same for another 4 days. I may be forced to follow your lead - and find a doable local hill and enjoy. 💪. Very attractive scenary and no nonsense uk wild places narration and hand held by the way - but was disapponted your camera gear didn't trap you in that fat mans squeeze! 😉 keep posting.

Saw your thumbnail and thought im gonna have to give this route a go, but then saw the 'fat mans alley' lol, dont think id be able to lift even my day pack atm with my shoulder so ill save that untill later in the year I think. I could do the route round like you said but ill feel like im missing the fun haha. Absolutely bangin pitch that though Dave, even if you were on a slope, the views were amazing!! Always love your videos so much... cant wait to be back out in the tent. Although im off next week so will be driving to the Lakes at some point even for a day hike big or small. Lovely video again Dave. Thanks for taking time filming ‘fat man’s agony’ going in and out. You must have been there half an hour! Nice shots with the drone as usual and well done for posing apparent without showing that you were holding the controller. Mind you I suppose you can put the controller down when you do the automatic circle or helix. Have you tried woollen fingerless mitts to keep your hands warm? Stay safe and happy.

Cracking watch as always. I was up at the other end of the Langdales on Saturday on Rossett Pike and Allen Crags. Just walking not camping!! I leave the hard stuff to you and just enjoy watching. Regarding the phone screen, have you tried touch screen gloves? I use a Berghaus pair which do the job. Obviously not super thermal but keep the chill off. Keep up the good work.

Another great video there Dave, liked the link at the end to your winter three tarns camp. That was my first winter wild camp, on your suggestion if you remember, best ever, they say you always remember the first well bloody hell, slog up the band to mad winds and 8” snow on top, won’t forget that one🤣. Hardest bit for me was coming down the band with my border collie on a lead, bit dangerous without trekking poles but got some now. Anyway thanks again as wouldn’t have the memories with out you👍👌🐾

i love the langdales, you must be very lucky to live so close to the lakes to be able to Wild camp so often, I'm 5 hours drive away so have to be content with a couple of times a year

Amazing views again been through on my bike but really need to walk and camp the area with my dogs. I do get apprehension though of a new place area and parking. But usually it works out OK. The low level for me is still good but the squeeze for me would poss be too much there. I'm sure they are other routes when I check out the map. Thanks Ade

Lovely area Dave , I used to always do the Santa dash each Xmas from dungeon ghyll but always pushed down 😂😂 think I need to revisit with the tent . Alright Dave, they look a little like lenticular clouds. Where do you park for overnight parking in Langdale? I usually walk over to the fells from Seathwaite, which is a bit of a trek. Thought about Old Dungeon Ghyll, but it says no overnight parking… cheers mate

Just have a question about your Gopro. What colour profile do you use, what resolution you shoot in and do you do any colour grading? Really thinking about buying one. Thanks

Hi Martin. I just use the standard profile at 1080. I do a bit of colour grading in iMovie but not much. Cheers 👍
