Thank u. I haven't had working data for months. I didn't worry about it becuz I always have my phone connected to my home WiFi Tonight my apt building lost power for 30 mins. I was trying to go online with PG&E to see why it happened? My data didn't work. I tried the airplane mode thing but it work. When the power came back on I looked on KZbin for help. Ur video was the first to see. I paid attention to what u said. I have a free phone service with assurance wireless but it's connected to T-mobile. There wasn't any option to select T-mobile. Thanks for posting this video! I did a factory reset on my MotoX that I'm using with Metro PCS and needed to manually add the APN for MetroPCS (Default in phone is for T-Mobile). What is FRUSTRATING is I called MetroPCS Customer Service TWICE and received the same information TWICE and they had given me the wrong APN! They gave me "fast.t-mobile.com", but what worked is "fast.metroPCS.com" as shown in your video. They had also given me an MMSC of "mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc" which I left saved in the APN profile. Also, great job editing the video, in particular not making us wait watch while they data entry is done for each field, but just showing us the before and after. Great Job!

Good questions and the answer is not really. NO. APN is associated with different carriers and each one has different ones. Example: AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, Cricket, T-Mobile, Metro PCS, and etc...etc.

thank you so much for all your help. my oldest son looked up info about how to get our internet on. ive only had metro pcs service for 3 days and we still didnt have data connection service. so the second day we went to the store but it was about not being able to make or receive calls since a day of having the phone at that time. we couldnt make or recieve calls. then they finally realize it was the wrong imei number. why couldnt metro pcs figure this out on the phone. so i had to pay the people at the store 15.00 to get our phone working. unbelievable that metro pcs on the phone cant do shit right. then they couldnt fix our internet today. but thanks to your video within seconds my oldest son was able to fix our new metro pcs plan. i was beginning to give up and discontinue service next month. now our internet and wi fi hot spot is working thank you so much. you are awesome for that :-)

All solutions i found on youtube applied and still had the same prblm. And I was almost hopeless. But just from curisity i did something and the problm solved. I just changed my sim card with a new one. And replace the old phone no: on new sim card by calling to castomer care. Its easy and solved. You can try it, its my own experiment, alhamdulillah.

I have a samsung galaxy s6 active, which is a phone that is currently only available through AT&T. I have it unlocked and am using metroPCS APN, but there are some strange problems depending on my location. The most notable (and troublesome) is when I'm out of town to visit my mother. When I'm in her area I have data and can send and receive text messages, download pictures, access the internet, use google maps for GPS, but I can not send or receive calls. It's also worth mentioning that my mother does not have wifi at her house so that is not the reason for my partial connectivity. Additionally, I did make sure that the enhanced 4G LTE HD voice service was turned off, as I know that if the service is not available and the option is turned on, the phone displays all sorts of malfunctions. The people at metro have told me that since the phone was made for AT&T and only available through them at this time, that it is possible that the frequencies and bands that the phone is using do not match those of t-moble/metro and my phone is having problems communicating with the towers when I am in more remote areas. I have been advised to purchase a different phone but I haven't even had this one for 6 months and I like it. Whats your opinion on the frequency/band theory?

+Jen Trevorrow It is most definitely frequency. For example.. i have samsung galaxy avant metropcs. It does not have att band. however, a recent update for the os and phones baseband firmware enable this band that is compatible with att. why they don't enable i by default when it's already capable is because they dont want you to leave them. But, if there is no firmware update or the phone simply cannot use certain band, what can ya do? buy a phone or use a sip/voip account. if i din't have a firmware update, i'd be in the same boat as you, possibly getting away with 2g evdo. if it was that important, i would use tmobile instead of att, as the required band for att isn't required by tmobile.

Hello! I just bought an unlocked Alcatel One Touch Idol 3, 4G LTE. I bought it on Amazon and the seller was directly from Alcatel. The description on Amazon said it is FULLY compatible with Metro PCS. When I went to MetroPCS to get a sim card they put a tester sim card in first to make sure I get service. It got service but it was H+, which they said is between 3G and 4G. It wouldn't get 4G. If I buy their sim card and follow your video will I get 4G? Thank you so much.

When your phone says not registered on network it can be that 1. The imei and iccid needs to be cheked and 2. If you go to settings-more networks or wireless and networks you will find mobile network and then network operators press it and search for a network then after turn phone off and remove the battery and sim card and put them back in and turn phone on...please be aware that some phone's battery CANNOT!!! be removed...hope it helps.

Thank you. Worked for my Galaxy S6 on Movistar in Spain. I had to look up the APN name online, but found something that seemed to work. Old LTE Verizon Internet still shows up as an APN option, can't get rid of it. Been getting a notification that SIM card is not from Verizon Wireless, would like to get rid of that message.

Hi Im using a unlocked HTC E9+ and instead of 4G it shows a "H" do u know how I can fix this? I followed the steps in your video and it works fine but its still only using the H which I cant connect to the internet at all.

is it an international model? I have an s3 19300 but the international model, and it only connects to 3g (H). that could be the problem. if thats so, then you're out of luck, 2g and 3g (H) is only available for you.

I'm only right if what i said was true, if your phone is compatible with 4g and lte then youre not out of luck
