your description of the shared fantasy, losing the self and all is unbelievably acurate

I went through the losing of self, seeking other male attention and reaching towards my friends more in order to restore my sanity and sense of self, yes to feel normal. He will be moving out in two months. Your description nailed it

Hhahhaha!! Couple of “Jills” lying around if he is a narc fish! Funny!!! Boo on the pronunciation police! I have my masters degree in English and I appreciate the beauty and diversity of accents, not to mention the admiration that someone has put forth the effort to learn and to communicate with me in my own native language- which is not an easy one to learn, whether it is a first or second or seventh language. Thank you for this information, Dr. V! When we are blessed enough to receive wisdom from all of our knowledge, then we will stop calling out others for the nonessentials.

It is so scary to be in this situation- the private conversations I’ve had on the app Whisper really helped me sort out some of these crazy false realities and provide a breath of life so I did not feel like I was cheating although I was betraying/testing the story of the narc It’s crazy how true that the men who may be objectively worse are so much better in ways that brought me back to reality Absolutely resuscitation from these strangers that helped save my life and soul

Sam, you just don't know what a ripple you have made in the deep, dark seas of the human un/conscious. Again, this is exactly what I am going through right now but as the borderline/covert narcissist. I have gotten to the point in this rship where I do not want to pleasure him back and am in fact disgusted and aggravated when he expects me to do so. This is insanity!!!! But I am so glad to finally see and understand and bring my shadow into the light.

Assuming the women is normal and in a healthy relationship. Is it also fair to say that some women also find this shared fantasy appealing since it gives them a novelty experience or a temporary escape from routine, mundaneness or even reality for a short while without commitment and emotional investment?

Professor Vaknin, you’ve stated in another video that some cerebral narcissists may be “closet” homosexuals. My question is: since both the cerebral and somatic narcissist are the same yet the somatic (especially sadistic) hate women and only use their bodies for the many reasons you’ve mentioned, is there a high possibility for them to be “closet” homosexuals also? If so, do they actually LIKE the same sex or is it strictly a preference since they hate women? Thank you so much for your time.

Do all somatic narcissistic men have issues with their mothers ? is it hate for their own mothers that makes them sadistic? Once they find a partner who prove to be solid good mother so to speak do they tend to stay faithful? Thank u! I appreciate ur time to educate us all!

Somatic narcissists cannot be faithful: their preferred form of narcissistic supply is sexual conquest.

Dr. Vaknin -- Is there any difference in the application of your "replace-discard-devalue-idealise" technique (from the Budapest video) when it comes to Somatic narcissists? And is there a particular moment in the cycle when this technique is most effective to manipulate the somatic narc? Thank you for all the info!

The cycle is identical.

Having watched Vaknin Vids for half a year now, I ascertained my stalker ex is a covert narcissist. Good so far. I had ruled out him being a somatic narc as he abhors body building/sport, and values exclusivity in partners... but as time goes on, it seems he is a combination of somatic narc too, I guess due to his height of nearly 2m, and *endowments and youthful look and the way he looked at girls . Yet it’s so tricky to pinpoint where the failed grandiosity hides. /Is it possible to be semi somatic and semi cerebral/ (reads a lot, thinks he’s more evolved human, occasionally says he’s G-d) covert narc?
@samvaknin4 жыл бұрын
No. You are witnessing different parts of the cycle. Watch the video I will upload today, in 15 minutes.

You speak about a fascination with incest; is this strictly a fantasy (nasty!) Or is there evidence of this manifesting into actual danger to family members such as children of the relationship? Is this type of person capable of rationalizing incest in some way as to alleviate guilt or something to that effect?

English a very hard language. For some reason the "rules" are erratic. Sliver should be pronounced as you did, but when it means a slice of someting, it is pronounced differently. No logic at all.
