I’m seeing a lot of people treating this video as me confirming that it’s already better. This is not what this video is about. It’s about how my favorite Sonic game has the possibility of being in 2nd place to this game and why I personally think that

SA2 is a good game but I get frustrated with some treasure hunting levels . For me personnally , it cannot be the best game if I get frustrated

I generally dont like mech stages or tressure hunt stages, something frontiers dlc did differently which I liked alot more

Personally, SA2 has and might always be my favorite BUT if Shadow Generations is even half as good as the marketing has been? It could easily be in my Top 5. It is definitely checking all the boxes for me and I think, like you said, contender is the right word for it. Really going to come down to how the game feels to play, because personally, you can make a game with PS1 graphics but if the gameplay is great, I'll love it. SXSG looks beautiful, let's hope it plays beautifully too!

If it can dethrone SA2, that would definitely be interesting. I do enjoy SA2, but if we can surpass that game not simply in sales (Other games have done that already), it would actually probably give a lot of goodwill to the franchise again if people can say "This game is even better than SA2"

Sonic Adventure 2 is still my Favorite Game with the Best Soundtrack, and with my Favorite Character Rouge The Bat 😍 I can’t wait for my Payday Next Week and I’m really excited to get the SXSG Collection Edition 😁

Sa2 is one of my least favorites for. How linear and the only decent playable characters are Sonic and shadow but I will say the story, music, and controls are some of the best in the series

It definitely is not better than sa2. This happens every time a new sonic game comes out, people will come to their senses after a few months after release. It's the same thing that happened with superstars where people were saying it's way better than mania but now that view has almost vanished.

@@JuliRocket personally loved the variety of characters in the game, I even enjoyed the mech and treasure hunting stages for the most part. It also has a lot of side content and it's the most fun while also most challenging I've had to reaching 100%.

Dethrone SA2?, SA2 wasn’t a good game to begin with, that game has bad controls, janky physics, linear asf automated level design, and mech and treasure stages that are slow, repetitive and take up 80% of the game, even SA1 is better then that overrated piece of trash, id rather play the boost era
