Honestly I really like the uncut capture sequence, even if it's a bit quiet at moments it's still entretaining and shows how hard it actually is to catch and all the effort you put onto it. The Switch VC is super bizarre and unpredictable because of how they've modeled it. I'd imagine the Pokemon Company would want to monetise any Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald VC rather than have it on the Nintendo Online Service as a "free" game (subscription permitting). If they repeat what they did for Gen 1 and 2 VC and have it as an buy option with a box, it does sort of contradict the Nintendo Online Service. Because of that, I lean more towards no. People have ORAS and the 3DS is likely to be supported for quite some time as Nintendo host their own servers unlike Gen 4 and 5. I think any Gen 3 VC if it were to happen, is more likely on the next console & if they opt to change the NSO services. They could just not do it entirely honestly which wouldn't surprise me neither. I would like to see more people have the chance to play these games honestly without any of the issues with the battery or Berry Glitch. I guess we'll see.

I don't think I ever quite beat it before so I started a new file recently and am planning to shiny hunt a bit. I didn't feel like soft resetting in the beginning so my starter isn't shiny (I have a shiny turtwig(torterra now) in pokemon GO though 😁) but I'm planning to chain for a shiny bidoof for practice (and to name it God) and then start hunting for ones that look even cooler!

Wont lie, Shiny Groudon looked good in gen 3, almost golden in color, but later gens and 3d models just couldnt pull it off like the sprite could, still fantastic getting a legendary shiny especially in earlier gens.

Congrats on the shiny groudon, I remember getting a shiny groudon myself in ususm. It's my favorite legendary pokemon and my 5th favorite pokemon of all time and I definitely feel base groudon's shiny is underrated. It looks cool imo. Primal looks cooler but normal still looks amazing. Also baby groudon would probably be one of the cutest things ever if it existed in the main games or the anime. Also the only time I feel it is okay to use a masterball is on mewtwo or on a roaming legendary pokemon. Anyways congrats on getting the shiny groudon and duskull and have a good day/night :)

Nice! so funny I see you post this hunt as I was making arrangments to attempt this hunt. Had to get my ruby internal battery replaced. When I went to a local game shop and they replaced it I put it in my GBA SP only to find they botched it and it shorted two systems and the game itself :( the gods dont want me to get that shiny but im comin back for it in a couple weeks. Shiny Groudon in Colosseum looks so good! As opposed to the greenish yellow that I see in most games, it becomes closer to a gold yellow! That just gave me a much greater appreciation for the shiny.

You can never overprepare for these... In Sun & Moon, I hunted the legendaries using the wormholes, and I would use the Skill Swap Harvest, Trick it a Leppa Berry strat to keep it's PP up while I tried to catch it in the ball I wanted. Anyway, I had a very scary encounter when I found shiny Zapdos and it Plucked the Leppa Berry before I Tricked it to him, and all of a sudden I was on a timer with just one Master ball I didn't want to use. Didn't have to use it, but it was close.

Yeah, this cutscene has nothing on how long getting the starter takes in Sun/Moon. I would know, I spent 2 years soft resetting for a Rowlet in Moon. Quite nice to have a short cutscene. Didn't just breed it because I never like breeding, also wanted to test my endurance.
