This video was so majestically beautiful, I had a difficult time taking it all in. . .

I had a buddy back in the 70's walk into a field of weed and he thought it was glorious too. At home here we hope for a different version of a sunrise or sunset. You are getting the different location with a different scene with the different version of the sunrises and sunsets every day ~ thanks for sharing that with us.

The sunrise at the first of the video made the rocks look like gold. And that rainbow over the snow...nice. Hike On!

Views to die for & a rainbow to boot. 😂 butt skiing down the 🏔. 📦 on trail. Enjoy the trail. Oregon is coming up and the 🦟 are notoriously large & aggressive. Maybe the weather will cool a bit and they will start dying off. Lake Tahoe is one of the most gorgeous places I have ever seen. Stayed one September up in the 🏔 in a log cabin at night 🥶 and went into the valley during the days 🌞. Didn’t see bearhang in this video. Is he ok? Keebler seems full of 😂 all the time. You are in an epic journey...thank you for sharing. Stay well, safe & hydrated 😊

Dear Mary, This is my resignation.. if you're going to continue making my heart ache for the trail again after so many years with such perfect description and clarity of trail day events well I guess I won't be able to watch your channel any more !!!🤣😂😅😊😅.!!! Getting that twitching in my feet again !! It's ur fault !!!!!😄

These views should last you a lifetime. I know they will for me. Your senses are heightened so smells are intensified. Another reason to through hike. You're adapting to altitude rather nicely. John from MI

Hopefully the skeeters aren't bothering you as you approach the Sonora Pass. Nice glissade! And yeah--I've heard about Sonora Pass Resupply. Good thing!

There you go that’s a good run on glissading. We have one on O’Malley Peak Mt. that runs a few hundred meters. It’s a fast run to if you get your feet into the air. I ran out onto the rocks once misgauging the braking, not too bad. Weeds are so necessary, they regenerated the soils more quickly. Fires are horrible, there is so much nutrient loss. Lots of burn coming, watch out for trees that might fall when camping.

A guy was hit by a falling tree while hiking the PCT recently. It killed him. Kate Cloud (Feathers) hiked the Sierra with him and his partner so they are ahead of Mary on the trail. She talks about it in her latest video but doesn't say exactly when it was but some time after Mary got out of the Sierras. Trail name: Colors.

Mary have really enjoyed your videos congrats on the 1000 miles and love your positive attitude you are an inspiration....Mary I believe I have the same camera as you.....your pictures and videos are so clear. Question: I am having trouble with dust getting on the backside of my lens where under certain lighting conditions is compromising the photo and video quality. Wondering if you are experiencing the same problem

What a great day! Even with the rain! I'd rather do rain than the snow fields, Hahaha Thank you

A weed is plant "man" has not yet found a use for. I think you have found a use for a whole lot of "weeds". It makes us biologists proud when that happens.

What a wonderful video Mary 😁 Yes there is something just magical about watching a sunrise and sunset especially watching them with a loved one 😊 People on the trail really seem so nice and it's so nice of you to give them the credit they deserve. The glissade was so funny 😂 Happy hiking my incredible sweetheart 😘😘

it would probably be the Forest Service that is preventing Casey from selling stuff on site. I imagine they have a whole permitting process for who is allowed to sell stuff in the national forests and where. The PCTA is a private organization; they can't stop anybody from doing anything. Because the PCTA coordinates permits for thru-hikers, a lot of people think they have some sort of official power, but they don't. The permits are from the various government entities, the PCTA just let's you get them all in one place. They're a great organization, but they have zero power to tell anybody what they can or can't do.
