I don't think their landlord will allow them to install the drainage needed. Especially since it's in the middle of the floor. I imagine the lower floor has the same layout, and the drain would go directly into the middle of another room below. Not very esthetically pleasing. Even if the floor below doesn't have the same layout, most landlords don't like tenants making holes to install new drains in the building.

@@Paragon643 Unfortunately, they can't. The problem with plumbing is that there's a rise to run ratio on the drainage, where you're using gravity to move the water along. There's requirements as to what that ratio is in order to make the plumbing work properly and safely. The physical space needed in a vertical direction to install the pipe such that it would hit an existing wet wall is too far. That's why plumbing is stacked to begin with. If the sink were like, a foot from the wall, it might be doable, but in the middle of the room it's too far vertically vs. horizontally. You can't just run the pipe on the floor like you can an electrical wire - the water won't go anywhere.

@Paragon643 That's not how drains work. They would need a 4°-7° angle for horizontal drainage. Even the ancient Egyptians understood this basic knowledge. They would need to build a false floor over the existing one and raise it 1-2 feet for drainage to work properly, because water doesn't drain from hoses when laying flat on the floor. Even still, they would need to tap into existing drainage. They could use a pump, I suppose. However, every connection in the line after the pump has a very high likelihood of leaking/flooding. Plus, a pump would be very loud, and they would have to stop filming every time it kicks in. That's not exactly easy to do on a channel often involving time sensitive cooking. Another point. You can't just tap into a solid drainage system without putting holes in the landlords' existing drains. Most existing openings to drains are above floor level, i.e., a toilet or a sink, and water doesn't want to flow upwards. Do you want to try again? Or do you realize now that it isn't as simple as "just" doing anything? Mostly, it requires permission from the landlord.

This is going to be great! As someone who has done a great deal of wilderness related things, I can say that NONE of the meat that you encounter in the wild is processed. If you catch a fish, it is a whole fish. If you harvest a deer, you get the whole deer. I think that should definitely be a theme of the weekend! You should use a lot of fish and other sea-related items, and they should all be in whole form!

Restrictions: 1) limited amount of water to use 2) Must be seafood and fish based 3) seasonings should be mostly foraged (have an expert to make sure you don't get poisonous look a likes) 4) makeshift utensils and cookware 5) can only cook or bake over a bonfire 6) make a bonfire or fire pit 7) If you have the proper licensing, fishing for ingredients! 8) dishes can only be eaten with bare hands

Cook something underground, this is quite common in cultures who live in sand and many Island cultures as well. Plus once you put it underground you have to just trust to the process you can't do anything further so the prep work is essential and it could be fun to see what you can manage. Cook with Seaweed, Basically cook with anything you could gather on the beach, clams and muscles, barnacles, seaweed...no fish you need tools for fish....or some extra challenge in order to gain access to fish...or a fishing net or rod or spear and have to catch your own fish if you want but otherwise can only use what is accessible from a beach. This could include plants....coconuts, plantains, sea vegetables, bamboo shoots, ferns, whatever you think is appropriate.

Being someone who's scared of insects and anything that could potentially be venomous and hidden in the sand on a beach (like a scorpion), and considering the symptoms that venom can cause, i'd love to see if there's a way to replicate some of the symptoms (like disturbed vision, muscle twitching, tingling/numbness) and see how someone manages to cook in these conditions. (i.e. having a tens machine on any arm muscle that would causing twitching and trying to cook like that and it gets worse every minute or so.)
