fun fact, the reason senshi made Frog Katsu was because the word "win" in japanese is also Katsu, so its a pun. and in japanese culture, its common to eat katsu or katsudon before events as a victory charm

"Chilchuck would be an amazing bait target" ironically, that's actually exactly why he started the half-foot union. Half-foot are largely treated as expendable bait by the majority of adventuring parties, so he started the union so other half-foot can have a better guarantee of safety on missions. It's also why he only takes his payment up front, so if things get shady and he's not being treated with due respect he can cut and run.

One of the things I really love about this series is that it does introduce a lot of massive world building and plot stuff that goes far beyond just ‘fun cooking fantasy adventure,’ but it always manages to tie back to the core themes. No matter how wild things get, it still feels consistent and cohesive. And things ARE going to be getting wild very shortly!

I like the touch of it being difficult for characters to judge the age of other races, like Namari being more or less clueless how old Falin is. It's a good detail and makes sense that it would be hard to gauge the age of a someone that ages at a different rate than you do.

I loved this episode because a party of mine did something very similar to the frog skin onesie. A type of hound in a lower plane was immune to the layer effect messing with our movement and poison. So after killing some we made cloaks and jackets!!!!!

Time to roll initative! Marcille looks adorable a lot of the time but that frog suit is quite cute. If you pay attention, Senshi and Chilchuck will have frog skin shoes in a lot of the scenes moving forward. A frog eating you really is just "getting Konosuba'd" at this point, isn't it?

I think you're reading too much into the portal the gnome guy used being square shaped and thus youre connecting it to the living paintings. I don't thin they're the same thing at all, its jsut doors tend to be square shaped so a portal that acts as a door to eslewhere will appear square shaped most likely. They work increidbly differently and look widly different (as one is like a portal ad the other is...well...a fucking painting showing a still scene)

The Window scrolls don't have anything to do with magic paintings, unfortunately. The paintings don't show anything through them; like in Mario, they depict a still image the whole time. The scrolls act more like in Portal, where they link two real spaces.

Worldbuilding, baby. At this part of the story, this stuff is still more boring the "Aaaah...Dungeon Meshi" sections, but it's important. 6:07 has a small animation error where Marcille still has Ambrosia.

Dungeon Meal is a peaceful comedy anime until episode 10. However, it gradually became like Made in Abyss and Golden Kamuy. The number of extreme depictions will increase. This also has to do with the fact that monsters are stronger on deeper floors than on the second or third floor. If it's a peaceful story, don't let your guard down and watch it.

Nah lol, my vegan friend loves it. This manga respects lives, and designs them beautifully. Fun fact: There is one vegan in the cast, he is a gnome and can’t consume animals, for religious purposes. Fun fact2: There are also people who practice a carnivore diet, very likely also for religious or other societal reasons. Fun fact3: these two groups are constantly debating whether a magical plant with an animal look should an included in their diet.

@@saotiago Sure, I just think that when you have a show where a couple of teenage boys in a gang that fight to protect a town happen upon a situation where another teenage boy is running away from ANOTHER group of teenage boys from another gang with opposite morals, that when the original boys stop the other gang from hurting the unrelated teenage boy, you'd be somewhat excited, because the group we follow haven't been doing much of anything for the whole show and this might actually give some purpose and climax to the story, but no, this interaction for some reason angers you when everything that makes a good conflict, main characters with good morals and opposing characters with the opposite beliefs, collide and start interacting with each other but instead, you'd rather our main group do ANYTHING ELSE than argue with those that oppose them, that one also makes me angry (YaboyRoshi's reaction to Windbreaker ep 3)
