I understand budget but it’s hard to believe they didn’t get paid. They are the reason we watched the show. I appreciate her work, as well as all of the other dancers. This was my fav era of Soul Train.

It really is. That speaks to the dancers' commitment and really doing what they love for the love it. It also speaks to taking advantage of a situation. In the early days, starting off, I get it. It looks like this was commonplace for the show's duration, and that is shameful.

I remember her and am glad that she used Soul Train as a springboard to a career outside of Soul Train in dancing and acting. I also agree with her that there should be a Soul Train dance show now. I would watch it because I'm a fan of dance even though I'm in my 60s.

I love these interviews with the" Soul Train Dancers." ❤❤❤ They tell such great stories about their experience dancing on "Soul Train" and the other doors that were opened for them back of it. I remember Erica Guillory very well with her long nose ring chain!!! She gave "Petra" vibes with her hair style, fashions and dance moves at times. She also looks a little like "Sade" as well. Erica story was very interesting. Erica genuinely loved to dance and it showed everytime she performed. All though it was so wrong for Don Cornelius to pay them with food and take advantage of them at least she and others went on to do other things. Erica still looks good! Talented Pretty Lady.

I agree, a dance show is very much needed. The problem is they played stuff that was popular on the radio back then and that's another way they kept their viewers. Imagine doing that with the radio play of today, with today's dancing. I can only Imagine a lot of tik twerking, and yes I meant to say it that way. I'm okay with with pressing the rewind button for now, until things change...if they do🙄

This younger generation could never have a Soul Train. Back in the day we actually did more than one dance move. If there was a Soul Train all the women would be doing the same move...twerking!
