I noticed that the version of hair you showed in this tutorial doesn't look nearly as luscious and volumetric as the final render, could you do a tutorial on that? it's up to you obviously
@MistaManlyGuy2 жыл бұрын
I agree. I skipped to the end to see the result, and it doesn't look the same. I also don't feel it has to do with render settings

In the children portion of particle system settings you will see display amount and render amount. He explained that he stepped the display amount back by half so that it would render in the viewport quickly enough for the demo. if you want thicker hair, bump those values up. if you machine is lagging while you tweak things, drop the value in the display setting and keep the render value high for final render.

Is there a way to get curly hair that is limited to the size of the mesh rather than projecting out from it?

If you link duplicated one of those hair clumps (a bunch of times), , would it speed up baking and or rendering time, or not really matter in this case?
@button93 жыл бұрын
I'm going to assume the 4m length is for beginners who model really large and not 'to scale' , so that they see the hair when they apply it to their 2m tall head they made. This isn't being mean, I think it's just the norm for newer users to model huge.

BECAUSE I AM NOT PLANNING ON DOING HAIR DYNAMICS, SO IF THE HAIR STAYS LIKE THAT IT IS FINE BY ME. CAN U PLEASE CLEAR MY DOUBT? IT WOULD REALLY HELP!!!*

Although a good tutorial, I feel decieved when you start by showing an amazing result and then not really replicating the result by the end of the video..

Hi, sorry for the confusion. These are nearly identical to the final settings I had, I played with the amount of girls a tiny bit, turned up the particles for the final render, and adjusted the lighting. Hope that helps
