The rank-assignment system is completely broken. I did my 10 games alone, did great, and got assigned to Silver 1. It crushed my spirit, but after 40 easy (yet mentally exhausting) victories I made it to Silver 2, then in a single day 3, then 4. I started playing with a Gold friend, so we faced Silver Elites, and it was still a complete joke - most of these people were boosted and clearly had no idea what they were doing (not all of them, of course). I have been called a hacker and been reported at least once every 2 games because of that bullshit - a lowly Silver 2 with a high kdr against higher ranks? Must be hacks or smurf, can't possibly be the retarded ranking system. To my comrades who have been wrongfully assigned to Silver 1 - hang in there, it takes time but it will feel so rewarding when you finally leave that trench.

Wow how do you get assigned to silver 1 from the get-go if you've been 'doing great'? How many games did you play until you got your 10th win? That is a big factor in your initial rank just as well as the ranks you end up playing against. I started playing competitive in early 2016 and I got initially placed in MG1 after I got 10 wins out of 20 played games. Ok back then the ranking system was much more tame and tolerant and MG1-2 was considered the average not GN2-3, but still, silver 1?

If you play too well, people get suspicious, that's the nature of the game because of the crappy anti cheat we have. Take it as a compliment and move on. Reports don't do anything unless they pass to Overwatch and you get convicted, otherwise don't worry about it. And if you're really that good then get to global elite and challenge yourself. I'm sure you'll find the level of games change a lot between ranks.

A bit late to comment this, but whatever. The ranking system in csgo is quite complex, and takes many variables into account when deciding your rank and if you should promote or demote. If you strip it down to the bare minimum "If you win against players with lower ranks you gain a small amount of points, if you win against higer ranks you win a lot" This scales. Meaning that womble i̶s̶ ̶a̶ ̶f̶a̶g̶g̶o̶t̶ who played with a global, DMG etc, probablly got matched against higher rank players, and since he was carried he won and accumulated a lot of points from the high rankers, thus his ridiculous rank.
