Precisely! From what I've seen so far they mostly seem like frivolous lawsuits. A common tactic to delay and pull resources away. At worst, if Starlink has a monopoly then prices should be gov regulated. The simple fact is that traditional companies are scared they can no longer offer cheap junk service for exorbitant prices and rip off customers because now they have actual competition offering a legitimate and usable service to rural customers.

@@Rob2 When Starship is operational, Starlink will start to compete against mobile provider
@Rob22 ай бұрын
@@okgoogle4206 Starlink will NEVER compete with mobile providers in metropolitan areas. Period. The service that Starlink can provide is coverage in areas that are not economical or technically infeasible to cover, like oceans, deserts, Antarctica. You will NEVER, I repeat NEVER be able to make Starlink calls from a city. Even when the service is deployed, you need to stand outside in a clear area to make calls, and you need to be the only one in a large area. That is when those satellites can focus their beam on you. 15 years ago, I, owner of Infra-Comm corporation, sued Cisco Sytems, and was awarded 🏅 $6M. Quite the story.

Thanks for the info. Money and power sure do suck for those that don't have it. Hope Starlink wins.

As expected. They failed to innovate and keep up, and now all that's left is litigation to slow things down while they all scramble, way too late. Competition isn't just about fiddling prices until they sell, or marketing.

Lawsuits is always the answer for lack of innovation.. Ask Bill Gates...

Technology and Innovation wins. No doubt.

Musk has the advantage with his own rocket. The man with the biggest rocket wins. Military would love more involvement with Space X and Starlink. Some political groups are nervous with Musks arsenal of rockets and Starlink. Leta stir the kettle of distrust

It's going to be a game changer! Mr Elon Musk just make this thing available in the market and it will be a hit (for me)! Power flux density is flimsy reason!

This was an excellent explanation and easy to understand. I hope many will see this and listen to this

Ironic that SpaceX is launching AST SpaceMobile satellites. This clearly shows how confident SpaceX is in it’s various products. 🚀

In this case bribing politicians is the deciding factor.

I think both Elon/SpaceX should also start preventing loosing anticompetitive lawsuits. He is now (re)defining technology and as such he can set the standard for the way future telco operators can hire bandwidth on his network, like they now do with eachother.

To be clear: remember bell? This can easily be prevented by always trying to be open. Like Valve does.

Seems my service has gotten better also. I was usually at 70 sometime in the 40s. But here lately I've been sustained 34-35. I live on the eastern shore of Maryland

Who remembers the movie 'screamers'? The movie was B quality but the premise reminds me of where this could go as far as government and corporations.

Love this one JC......hope to make it to Friday free speech tonight, I'm already completely exhausted at the end of the week. J, quick question: On the version 3 system on do you reset the modem, like on the version 2 you unplug and plug in 3 to 6 times I was just curious as I am going to be updating about 4 customers to Version 3....and is that the latest and greatest ?

Thank you. This would be a game changer in Australia. Because of low population and vast areas of no service it would eaten up here like apple pie and cream. Both our major telcos have this planned here. Peace and love Darryl remote Cape York Australia

It’s a question of how many people can be serviced by each satellite. Then how much does each satellite cost to operate and launch? It only sounds good. Need to do the math.
