Europeans are probably thinking, how is it that Mustangs are becoming super car challengers. GT500 already had many of them shocked and now this? Amazing and it's actually so cool that they're making it so advanced top quality.

Some of us Europeans love Ford Mustangs. Especially 500’s and GTD’s. I’m in London and sick to the back teeth of everyone thinking BMW and Mercedes are the best cars created.

I worked at the Ford proving grounds in AZ when they were testing last year. you guys have no clue as to how much more this thing offers. This track demon is well worth what they are asking for.

technically this will be the 2nd mustang but first production mustang to have both an SLA front suspension and inboard irs suspension, the first being back when John Colleti ran SVE/SVT

Unfortunately it shows how distant this generation of car enthusiasts are when they are unaware of the SVE Mustang Super Stallion. So much of that technology finally is in this car.

In regards to suspension travel on "The Ring", less is not better. The Ring is very bumpy and you do not want to bounce off the bump stops or not have enough travel that you need the suspension super stiff, which will cause the tire to lose contact with the pavement. As long as you have the chassis well controlled and have enough spring for the aero, you want it as compliance as possible to soak up the bumps.

Tires are 325 up front and 345 in rear. I think the contact to pavement will be fine.

This has continuously adaptive pushrod/SLA suspension and the largest contact patch you’ll ever see. This thing is perfect for the ‘Ring. And it won’t suddenly malfunction like the AMG One that currently holds the record.

Everything Multimatic makes is for racing so it’s all engineered to work right. This is a real race car, I dream about owning a GT3 but I believe the GTD will smoke it as it has 200+ more HP & advanced tech not in any 911.

At 300k this car has to pull a miracle in the space it's breaking into especially know a couple of things the zr1 will probably outperform it on most tracks and the new gt2 rs was spotted testing very recently thats not counting the track version of the 750s and 296 or the hurracan replacement im not sure who this is for if your uber rich and love fords chances are you have a ford gt

That statement about the ZR1 is outrageous. No active aero, no spool valve, probably still going to ride on struts vs the SLA/pushrod of the GTD, the same power to weight (probably).

I could be totally off here but what if they brought back the cobra name not the Gt 500? Then that could be a lesser horsepower model to open the gap between it and the GTD say around 600 or 650 hp.

The zip tie on suspension ruins the car

Explain how it ruins it. Zip ties are used on even the most expensive cars to simply hold wires together for a cleaner more uniform look and for safety and functionality, sorry but there is nothing better than a Zip tie, rattle resistant, durable and reliable. It's literally the best solution to a simple thing, it's not like that zip tie is holding the suspension together, all it's doing is holding some wires. This was pre production testing, so it might not even be what the final product uses.
