Speak of glittery creams... one day, in the sunlight I noticed the husband had glitter all over his face. I was shocked, because I had no makeup on that day and couldn't figure out what it was. Several days later I realized my hand cream had gold glitter in it, and he had been using it as facial moisturizer LOL

I'm 36 and pale as a sheet, but I'm very acne prone so I haven't been so good with the SPF. I went on holiday to California and I mainly applied SPF to my nose , cheeks, and top of the forehead. In one week I developed sun spots that go all the way down each of my temples, apparently I neglected those areas. Please ladies and gents, wear your SPF! Breakouts heal, but sun spots are a bitch to get rid of.

I'm obsessed with the Clarins Sun Wrinkle Control Cream SPF 50. In the states, it's SPF 50. I've probably went thru 6 tubes already and I've got 2 on standby. It's the perfect sunscreen to wear daily under makeup and I actually feel like it makes me look younger when I wear it. Love it.

Speaking of Sol de Janeiro - Not sure if you have tried it already but the Samba Foot Fetish cream is by far, hands down, the BEST foot cream I have ever used. I can't recommend it enough and I will NEVER be without it.

love to have you back in action !!! and i love lancaster and its fragrance !! i used to go on one main long holiday each summer (vs several mini breaks through the year now) and would have the time to build up my tan gradually. i was very disciplined with cleansing, exfoliating, moisturising and decreasing the spf each week. the lancaster range was my absolute favourite and you've reminded me of those happy sunny days !! 💗

I've noticed the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream has MANY of the same ingredients as Dr Jart+ Ceramidin - could you please do a comparison at all? Would be so helpful as the FAB is 3x cheaper than the Ceramidin!

Caroline - given your raves for Sol de Janiero products, you MUST try the Samba foot Fetish Cream. I was working an event in a Vegas convention center, so it was hot, dry and tons and tons of walking on my poor feet. I had to change for an evening event and desperately needed something to spruce up my now dry feet for the shoes I brought. One quick pop into Sephora and Sol de Janiero is in my life. It comes with a foot file (nice) but the joy is the cream. Smells a dream like everything else, but it absorbs into the skin so fast you only need to wait a few minutes to put shoes back on and head out on the town! No slipping around in your shoes or making them all sticky and gross. The only way to improve it would be to add a lactic acid in there, but this is my one and only foot cream so long as it's available to buy!!!!

Oh Caroline, had I known that you were in Italy I would have recommended my holy grail ceramide cream brand, they're called Ceramol and they can be found in Italy and Germany as far as I know- at the pharmacy. My two favorites are Crema Base for the body and Beta Complex for the face... they have a patented 3:1:1 formula with a great combination of ceramides, cholesterol and fatty acids. I use it to soothe the skin

Davines has a hair UV protecting spray that works well and smells AMAZING! Thought you'd like to know that :) Also, Supergoop makes good lip SPF balms, Fusion Lip Balm w/ SPF 30. I cycle and use them every time out on my bike because they have a really good staying power.

I'm off to Croatia on Saturday for a 2 week holiday so this was timely for me, I doubt I'll be buying La Mer so I'll stick to my beloved P20 followed by Nivea after sun. I've bought Anthelios factor 30 tinted & Garnier BB factor 20 for my face. Caroline, I'd be interested in cheap cleansers that remove spf though, I do get the odd spot when using spf. Less than £20 pls 😀 And what makeup did you take? Hope you enjoyed x

Hi Caroline, ive read your cheat sheets about perioral dermatitis. Im naturally very oily/congestion prone and im really battling perioral dermatitis. Would love to hear more of what you use/dont use when it flares. Ive done prescription antibiotics but it seems to return! Love that ring your wearing!!!

Caroline, take a look at Jack Black Intensive Therapy Lip Balm! It's wonderfully moisturising and has SPF 25. I found out it at Feelunique because all of the Boots near me don't carry it.

I love the LIQUID (Ultralight hydrating) SPF 50 Avene for face. It blocked everything for hours on my face. I have so many problems with SPF lip balms - they burn so badly.

Fabulous video Caroline! Quick question, would the DD Peel pads be ok to use after a lot of sun exposure? I'm going to Mauritius in November and I always break out badly with facial sunscreens so wondered if the peel pads would help with that? Also, to confirm, mineral sunscreens are better for people who suffer with breakouts, is that right? I suffer with mild hormonal acne and I'm 35. Thanks Caroline :)

Sharana C. - that's so cool! And, you're so right about the Umbra Tinte, it's lovely. Because my skin tone closely resembles the shade of the original Umbra, lol, I mix the two together so as to avoid the Oompa Loompa look that I sometimes get with straight Tinte.

How would you compare the Dr Jart tiger grass cream and the ceramidin? I have dry skin and redness on my cheeks and I've been eyeing those as options that *might* keep me from looking dried out by noon in my air conditioned office. I currently use FAB ultra repair cream and the Dr Jart color correcting tiger grass spf .

Have you tried anything else from sm novella @ms Hirons I'm currently using the rose water. I was wondering if that was a good enough toner to have on its own or do I need something else. I've bin really dry an congested lately. I've got sensitive reactive skin. Bin having black heads. I've tried first aid beauty radiance pads off of your recommendation. But haven't used them in a bit. I was thinking try Another that you've mentioned. The clarins exfoliating toner. Along with that new serum an one of their oils. This NYC pollutants does it to my skin. I've also bin very crusty eczema flare ups. Need to grab that almond oil from sm novella. An lately I can't use any fragrance my skin has gone crazy. The allergist gave me orders to stopped using fragrance. I've had to give al my Chanel body goodies to my mom. It was heartbreaking to part with them. oh how I love that no5 body oil an mademoiselle body milk. I use christalle for years eva since my mom bought me my first bottle. I've had to stop. I'm in need of a good cleanser as well cuz I loved the lait comfort an the moose comfort. They both fragranced. I'm hoping I have better luck with clarins or my skin makes a turn around soon. My dermatologist wrote me a script for benzoyl peroxide 5 %wash, which does absolutely nothing to my skin an clindamycin lotion 1%. They are both horrible does nothing but peel away at my forehead.

So I've always used Lancaster TM too for over 13 years or so and it always 'contained self tan' hence the 'maximising' 😏 ..and said to wash your hands etc, so have they changed it as you didn't mention it? 🤔xx

Any tips for skin that is severely dry, dehydrated, and has eczema? I'm 29 and these last few years have been particularly difficult because my face seems to aging severely due to the discoloration and I haven't found Anything particularly great, both for cleansing and moisturizing. Seriously considering just slathering my face with crisco, but I still get pimples that leave scars. :(((
