Spider-Man 3 will forever and always be my favorite Spider-Man movie of all time. It is my childhood. Every time I think about it, or listen to the score. I get so nostalgic. It’s the second movie I ever saw in theaters (after Ghost Rider earlier that year. And the main thing I remember about Ghost Rider is the Spider-Man 3 trailer at the beginning). It’s the first movie I began coming up with theories about. And when I would come home from school sometimes, my mom had bought me toys from the movie while I was gone, so that was fun. In that scene where she's moving stuff and she encourages Peter to become Spider-Man again, Peter asks, "Where are my 'comic books'?" and May replies that she threw them away, and Peter looks quite distraught. I feel like the 'comic books' are Peter's sketches and diagrams for the suit (from the first movie) and he was worried about May accidentally looking at them and putting two and two together (which she definitely did, coupled with all the hints from the bank fight scene).

@@brandonlyon730 he had the super soldier serum from dr erkstein, the infinity formula if I recall was made by fury, and is sort of what was used to make the goblin serum. To make it more mentally stable the infinity serum has less of a physical boost (still super soldier) but some stuff is on par with super soldier serum, but the infinity serum has generally a better healing factor, and gives true immortality. The spider that bit miles morales was injected with the infinity serum, hence why miles is immortal, and has more than the standard spiderman powers.

That scene with the building fire always comes back when I re-watch Homecoming. It fits perfectly with when Tom Holland's Spider-Man says, "When you can do the things that I can, but you don't, and then the bad things happen, they happen because of you." It's such a good look it why Peter Parker in all iterations has to be Spider-Man even if it never works out well for him.

Let's be real. We all know why rick's being sent on such journey :) and it's because the Spider-Man series is a wild ride from start to finish, highs and lows etc, and spider man 2 is one of it's highs that should be appreciated in itself as standalone purely :)

The extra scenes are there because you're watching Spider-Man 2.1, not Spider-Man 2, by the way Sam-Raimi said not to call Spider-Man 2.1 "Director's Cut" because he says the Theatrical Cut (2) is his cut.

A perfect example of a director with such passion for the character and source material that you can feel it through the screen. Sam Raimi fills the movie with iconic lines and moments and his direction is so, so good; he brings a style that they would never put into a modern marvel movie, or at least haven't yet. The scenes with Aunt May still make me tear up and I have seen this movie countless times. Tobey Maguire is Spider-Man forever.

8:43 so what Peter says is "The curve of fastest descent" (AKA Brachistochrone Curve) which was founded by Johann Bernoulli in the 1700s which is really smart by the writers because....it's *sort of* how Peter web swings as Spider-Man (though there's A LOT more variables like where his web lands and how far it is from its contact point, and so on). It basically says that the fastest way down a right triangle (if the right angle is on the bottom left and the hypotenuse is on top, so Point A would be the top point where 1 side and the hypotenuse meet, and the other end of the hypotenuse would be Point B) would be to use a curve rather than following the hypotenuse or following both sides down to the point due to the amount of acceleration an object would receive.

One of the best sequels from the golden age of Marvel Films. (1998-2007). The video game was so good. So much free roaming, that you almost forget about the story mode. So awesome that you watched 2.1-The extended cut. Same movie with additional footage. Still formidable. Tobey Maguire almost didn't make part 2. He had back injuries from working on Seabiscuit (2003) and was a producer on that film. Jake Gyllenhaal was going to replace Maguire. Would've been interesting to see his onscreen chemistry with real life girlfriend (at the time), Kirsten Dunst.
