RUMINATIONS: Right off the bat you’ll notice the sound in this episode is… weird. And of course I made it explicitly clear everywhere I could that it was because I was trying to mic myself for the first time using a wireless clip-on microphone… and hadn’t figured out yet how to reduce the microphone volume. It ended up being more of a pain than just recording regularly, especially with the risk of it turning off or accidentally brushing against it while filming, so I dumped the idea after the one test episode. It might not be a bad idea to try again nowadays, though, since I know more about the camera, how to operate it and the microphone settings, but there really isn’t any need, since my current RODE shotgun mic works really well for picking me up. It’s not a boom mic, which is the ultimate goal for me to have sound quality on par with, saying, Phelous or Spoony, but I make steps in the right direction.
I honestly had no idea what to name the ship that would eventually be called Comicron One. I had ideas, of course, but most of them were derivatives of other shows and their ships. If I was going to create more mythology strictly within AT4W that had nothing to do with copyrighted materials, the ship would need its own unique name, but we’ll get more into that on a later date.

Plot twist! It's actually a malfunctioning Doom Bot that the real Dr. Doom kicked out of his empire due to it's ridiculous and silly plans and because it was under the delusion that it was Doom. Of course, Dr. Doom kicked it mainly because he didn't want it's nonsense to spread, but also because he wanted to kick back and relax and see how the heroes dealt with it and it's silly plans, because it amuses him.

I mean things like the 40K novel Inquisitor (aka Drago), 50 Shades of Gray, Twilight... Seriously, why does fanfic have such a bad reputation when novels are equally garbage on average? The really funny part of Doom plan is how any knowledge he is "stealing" that could be even slightly usefull for a evil scientist like him, is literally the kind of knowledge he would be suppose to have learned when he was in school. That means, we are suppose to believe he doesnt understand basics physics, chemistry and mathematics, and yet is somehow still smart enough to... You know, build all the things he does. Including his intellect-draining machine.

The issue isn't that admins are paid too much, it's that they suck at their jobs and waste all the money they DON'T get: Like buying a giant custom inflatable for the football team for thousands of dollars while the team is struggling to pay for basic equipment and other important school teams also lack money.

many highschool athletic programs, especially football, are booster funded. the only thing the schools provide are basics. in turn, football usually funds every other sport the school has.

Thomas Jenkins The point is that the administrators wasted that donated money on something even the team didn't care about while not paying for basics. Keep in mind I've been on this issue long enough I've actually LISTENED to the other side enough to believe it wasn't just dumb jocks buying something worthless and then demanding more money to waste. I've been pissed off at football for my whole life, and I stopped blaming them for their spending issues. That means someone higher in the chain of command MUST have messed up.

ProbeVoyages the point is administrators usually aren't buying the inflatables for football programs. how it works is the booster club raises the money and donates it to the school with an intended purpose. the school then has to decide to take it or turn it down. if they accept it, then they have to spend that money on what it was donated for. they can't take the money for an inflatable and turn around and spend it tackling dummies. most of the schools athletic money goes towards upkeep of the field/stadium, coaches, replacing the basics (pads, bats, basketballs, etc.), and uniforms. if you don't like what is being purchased, take it up with booster clubs.

Thomas Jenkins New plan: Raze the football field and rent out the property as some kind of local market or whatever for those people who grow crops at home. TBH football is a poor example for me to rely on in mismanagement because I would make our athletics programs some weight sets and treadmills, or martial arts. I find the culture surrounding things like football repulsive and unpleasant as people find my hatred of it.

This comic could actually work...you just need to rework a lot of things to get a decent product out of it. * Instead of Doom being the main villain, have it be Walrus, a character whose stupidity could justify such an awful plan. (I would've suggested Rhino, but an excellent story about Rhino gaining superhuman intelligence was written a few years before this one, so it would've been redundant). * Instead of the entire FF, only Human Torch shows up., as Reed, Sue and Ben are all dealing with their own issues. * The teachers stay mostly out of the main story, serving mostly as background support. * The OfficeMax rubbish is removed completely. This is just a PSA on respecting teachers. * The teachers are all from the same school Peter works at, rather than from various states. * The aforementioned background support is mostly them looking through the student files to find out about the students' skill-sets to see why these students in particular were kidnapped. They would also find out that Walrus went to their school at one point and notice that his bad grades were on the same subjects as these students' best grades, leading to them piecing together what he plans to do. * How does Walrus plan all this out? Well..he doesn't. He hires Chameleon to spy on the "brainy brats" and gets his intelligence-draining tech from Tinkerer. How does he pay for all this? He managed to rob a bank during the last world-ending event while everyone else was distracted, seeing someone as dumb as him to be irrelevant when compared to the main threat at large. That's all I got. It isn't perfect (Human Torch is kinda unnecessary now), but it's sure as hell better than the comic we got.

It's actually a pretty good parallel to your speech in your One More Day review about Spidey. :P As far as the sound....I...actually kinda like it here. Personally I blame the writing staff and the marketing department for the train wrecks that were the Clone Saga and One More Day, Spidey finally had someone who he could talk too, who would always be there for him, but what do you do? You complain that you can't write her as anything more then a worrier, you have a chance for Peter to pass the baton to "his son" and get his happily ever after until Mayday comes of age and joins her brother as Spider-Girl and what do you do? chicken out and pull an Avengers 200. The common perception of teachers in the US is just sad. They work over 40 hours a week and often expected to impart knowledge with little support. But what really gets me is "Those who can't, teach." Like teaching is not something someone would want to do and is only done by failures who are completely inapt.

Two, assuming that that is a map of manhattan he's pointing at, then Dr. doom has decided to hide....in a Sheraton hotel. I think people would notice the big metal man in the green cape surrounded by robot copies of himself hiding out in a major hotel chain. Smoooth. 13:13 - As it turns out, there are castle-like buildings in the NY-metro area: ny.curbed.com/maps/a-comprehensive-guide-to-new-york-citys-many-castles. However, the only one that comes close to that castle (if we include all the foliage around the castle) is Belvedere Castle, which is smack dab in the middle of Central Park. Again, smooth move on Dr. Doom's part. 16:53 - Well, I gotta hand it to the comic- that is one hell of a distraction.

After all this time, I finally realized what Mephisto's evil plan was in One More Day. It was part of an elaborate scheme to defeat Peter Parker, but not directly. See, he figured out that they were all in a fictional universe driving by sales figures, so he broke apart their marriage in an attempt to ruin the franchise, thus getting Spider-Man canceled. It didn't work, of course, but then villain plans never do. That doesn't stop them from causing a lot of suffering in the process, though.

Aside from the fact that I did like Disaster Movie myself... I could almost understand extracting the kids' brains to create a literal "think-tank" bio-computer to help with some major endeavor (the Skasis Paradigm from Dr. Who comes to mind as a perfect example of where that could come in handy), but draining knowledge does make absolutely 0 sense, as you mentioned... Apathy and illegibility? roflmao ok I can see apathy as one major obstacle for teachers, but the 2nd should be more profound, like arrogance, fear, or despair - in other words, something else that makes students not want to learn. Or they should just go for broke with ludicrousness and say "Illiteracy and illegibility" for the win.

I will never forget this comic. Not just because Linkara reviewed it, but because I found a fan translation of it into Estonian once and while I know Spider-Man is **huge** in Estonia, the fact that someone thought this was worth translating, editing to put the translated dialogue in the word balloons, etc. when there's so much other Spider-Man stuff out there will never stop being baffling to me.

Also, Dr Doom is second in genuis only to Reed Richards, right? Even if the kid is freaking Amadeus Cho, what important scientific knowledge can he squeeze from him that he doesn't already have?! If Doom was really going with this plan, instead of random students he'd be draining the brains of Marvel's brightest: Bruce Banner (practically drowning in sedatives), Tony Stark, Amadeus Cho, T'Challa, Dr Hank McCoy, the Leader, and Hank Pym. Knowing Doom I'm sure he'd save Reed for last just for the chance to gloat.

Cody Hines In fact, an attempt was made T'Challa, Dr Hank McCoy ... know how to steal. In this story, Dr Doom's brains got damaged. According to the information given at the beginning, the story had to play shortly before this. Thus, this story makes terribly much sense.

Not gonna lie, it's tough when videos I watched when they were released are about to turn 10 years old. It's September 15 2020, and I can feel time speed up. Back in 2011, 2001 was a long time ago. Heck, in 2009, 2001 was a long time ago. Now I'm feeling 2011 was recently. I remember watching UP and Toy Story 3 that spring. I remember reading The Case of Charles Dexter Ward that summer. I remember playing Super Mario Galaxy and beating it. That was almost a decade ago. I'll be 32 this year, and I realize I only got so many decades left. It doesn't help that I've been suffering from mental health problems for a few years now.
