What's really heartbreaking for me is how the two of them show their love for each other through their treatment of Miles! Neither of them bad talk each other in Miles' presence!

Just a few things fyi, Kingpin isn’t really a daredevil villain, he’s more of a broad villain for all superheroes like Thanos, it’s just daredevil that brought him to live action. The “Peter Tingle” is really only mentioned as that in the MCU movies, anywhere else it’s Spider Sense. And all Spider-Men/Women normally have web shooters, the only one of the top of my head that biologically creates webs is Tobey Maguire’s spider man!

The best thing about the Doc Ock reveal is that she was not featured at all in any of the promotional material, so people didn't even have the chance to speculate. We knew Kingpin and Prowler were in it, but no hints of any Doc Ock. Because they didn't show her, everyone just assumed she was some minor background scientist when she showed up in the movie. Great villain twist. Great example of the benefits of not giving away EVERYTHING in trailers and posters.

Fun fact: Miles Morales characters was inspired by Donald Glover. When Sony announced in 2010 that they were looking for a new spider man, fans thought it was time for a Black Spiderman and the tag Donal4spiderman trended on Twitter and became a phenomenon. Sony decided to not change Peter's ethnicity but Marvel saw an opportunity. When Donald Glover wore a Spiderman pijamas in the show Community (as a reference to the movement), Brian Michael Bendis decided to create an entirely new Spiderman where Peter Parker dies, and a black Latin kid takes on the mantle. Miles style and general look were directly inspired by Donald Glover who later voiced Miles in the Ultimate Spiderman animation and later was invited to do a cameo as Aaron Davis in Homecoming. In Spiderverse there is even an Easter egg in wich the tv is playing Community season 2 episode 1 where Glover's character wakes up in Spiderman pijamas

This is definitely one of those movies you have to watch again just to catch all the little easter eggs and foreshadowing. Watch for all the octagonal objects around Liv Octavius. Watching Spiderman 1 (the one that dies) do the complex swing move to get to the panel then Miles repeats it. When the collider explodes and the power goes out across the city, you can see a bunch of little shining bits shoot out across the city... those are the spider personas!!! How the comic book word boxes don't start until after Miles is bitten. Really just an amazing movie.

People saying miles has a low frame rate, you’re are technically right but the proper term is called ‘animating on 2’s’ everything is 24fps but a frame is held for an extra second, that’s how you get the nice choppy feeling while also feeling smooth as butter

42 is a significant number because it's the number of the first Black baseball [player in the major leagues, Jackie Robinson, in 1947. ! It's also the first baseball number to be retired after his death. No one else can use that number in baseball ever again!

"42" is a reference/tribute to Douglas Adams ... In the "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" series "42" is the answer given to the question "what is the meaning of life"?
@ShadowyFox_86
@ShadowyFox_86 2 жыл бұрын
The reference isn't to Hitchhiker's. The 3 folks that headed up this movie confirmed that it's a Jackie Robinson reference and they didn't intend the Douglas Adams one.

That's a good question. Both are so good. As much as I love the Winter Soldier and felt extremely tense when I watched it the first time, I physically jumped because of Prowler's music in the theatre lol

@@rxbeccarose He did! He even has a line to Peter's Spidey saying that he doesn't want Vulture's weapons in the neighborhood because he has a "nephew that lives there." I'm definitely expecting Miles to show up in the MCU, especially now that the snap has happened. The implication I got was that Miles was pretty young in Homecoming, so I could easily see him being in his teens in the next Spider-Man film, with Peter being older and can serve as a mentor, coming full circle by being the "Tony Stark" to Mile's Peter Parker! I know I'd love that. I just hope that the actor they cast for Miles is great. I really liked the actor that played Kenny in Cobra Kai Season 4 (Dallas Young)! I think he could be a good Miles, though I only have his performance in Cobra Kai as a baseline

Fun details but Miles universe is the Ultimate Universe (Earth-1610) a universe created as a re-imagined and modernized versions of the Marvel superhero's from the main Prime Universe (Earth-616) with both large and small changes starting with Ultimate Spider-Man in the year 2000 ending in 2011. It started out great with Ultimate Spider-Man written by one guy Brian Michael Bendis so the whole comic run was very constant something i can't say about the Main 616 Spider-Man runs each new writer would change characters and even Spider-Man behaviours making them feel like different characters. Ultimate Spider-Man was also set in a whole new universe with no pre dating comic's so it was extremally friendly to new comers to the Spider-Man you dident have to read up on 50 years of comic's just to understand what's happening. The Ultimate X-Men was also really good based more based on the Film from 2000 in terms of artistic darker more militant uniforms instead of the colourful Earth-626 versions though these would come later. Unfortunately the Ultimate universe started to go downhill with some weird choices relating to other runs outside of the Spider-Man stuff the big one being Ultimatum a big cross over event between all the hero's where many of our favourite hero's were killed in really brutal ways along with Magneto flooding New York City killing thousands along with many of our hero's. The story wasn't good at all with the only good scene being Spider-Man diving into the flooded New York streets to pull people out of the water while JJJ watch's from his office window which is underwater at this point leading to him finally coming to terms that Spider-Man was a hero after all. Some changes you may noticed is the Green Goblin who's a lot closer to his monster Ultimate version than a man in a Goblin suit like we see in the main comic and in Spider-Man 1 for example along with most versions of the character in media. Peter B Parker the one sucked into Miles universe is from Earth-616 the main comic Universe where everything is alot closer to ours like the brand names, In Miles universe there's some weird spelling differences and the NYPD is called the PDNY in Miles universe which is pretty interesting it's like our own universe but a little different the adverts, movies, and even car brands reflect this. But yeah Miles always existed in a separate universe from the Spider-Man of Earth-616 instead he existed in a world with the Ultimate Spider-Man who wasn't that different to the 616 counterpart he was just a little bit shorter in his teens. This is the same with a lot of the Ultimate versions of characters like i said reimagined. Pretty much all Spider-Men are based somewhat on the Earth-616 Spider-Man even the movies so they all share many elements from origin story to suit and appearance there's just many different Peter Parkers like what we saw in Loki from games to movies and comic's.

"When is Miles gonna be in the MCU?" Technically, he already is. In Spider-Man: Homecoming, Peter actually runs into Aaron Davis (played by Donald Glover) while trying to find out where Tooms has his weapons stashed. In an early scene, Peter runs into him, Aaron tells him about not wanting the weapons on his streets because, "I have a nephew." Peter then webs Aaron to his car before running off, with Aaron miffed at the fact that he has ice cream in the trunk of his car that's going to melt. However, the upcoming sequel to this animated film, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-verse, could possibly feature MCU Peter (there's no confirmations, only rumors, but it would be pretty fitting that Peter isn't done with the Multiverse yet).

42 is a nerdy reference to the book/tv show/movie Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy, where it is the answer to life, the universe and everything... But the question remains unknown. It's been a nerdy reference since the book came out.

Hate to burst the bubble, but the reference is to Jackie Robinson, not Hitchhiker's. They've said in interviews they didn't even think about the nerdy reference.
