"Spyro Year of the Dragon feels like a bit of a blur and I think that might be its biggest sin; it's simply forgettable." I also remember and love the Spark levels and being able to upgrade my health.

.... This actually stunned me. I might have skipped a few reviews, so I was already surprised at how short and 'story-less' this review felt but .... that was... surprisingly harsh. I realize some people felt it was a letdown or not as good as Spyro 2, but I have never seen someone being so disappointed to call it 'filler', 'boring', 'bland', 'a blur'... I don't know, it felt like a half hearted (or outright halfassed) review more than the more informative and fun reviews. I guess we have different opinions. darthfrodo7 I've actually played the other 2 games. Spyro 2 is solid, but I think the level design is less intuitive/organic. After all, the game feels the need to give you a map. And Spyro 1... is bad. It's clunky, the controls are stiff, the level design is esoteric, the bosses can barely be called bosses, and overall isn't all that good.

I'd say Mario Galaxy 2 is fun, but I personally wouldn't say unique. Besides adding a couple of new power ups it didn't add much. Yoshi was cool, but also wasn't new. Also, they replaced some of the best things from Galaxy 1 with Starship Mario and the purple luma guy. Personally, (and I know I'm in the minority) Galaxy 2 felt like a downgrade to Galaxy 1 because it didn't take any risks like the original did, but that's just me.

?????????? #1. Hunter looks fine #2. I haven't experienced any more camera shortcomings in S3 compared to the other two games #3. What's wrong with the term "The Forgotten Worlds"? Sure, if this was just a knack thrown in the intro to make up for the devs lack of ingenuity, it would be silly, but I even recall Sheila telling us something about the dragons reign over these worlds in the past. So... what's the problem with the term "The Forgotten Worlds"? #4. The models in Spyro 1 were somehow goofy and it was only natural for Insomniac to revamp them a little bit. Why would they attempt to fix what isn't broken? #5. OK, now you're trying to make it look like the collectibles -- the cornerstone of every classic Spyro game -- are a supplement for some kind of asset you feel like the game is missing. And what, talking about shallow challenge in a Spyro game? Mind you, this game _is not_ meant to be mechanically challenging the same way, say, Crash Bandicoot is. #6. New characters aren't as fun as Spyro, buuuuuuut playing Spyro isn't as interesting as it was for you in the first two games either. That's... cool? I mean, seriously, Insomniac themselves admitted they didn't quite know what to do anymore with Spyro, hence the introduction of new playable characters and a galore of minigames. It only seems natural to invite new playability to already established game world (aka collect gems, break crates, aim at enemies by holding triangle), rather than coming up with superficial movesets or abilities for the main character. #7. Oh, now the thievies are bad game design. Were they AS BAD in Spyro TYotD as they were in the first two games? Overall, your entire reasoning about the last installment in the Spyro trillogy is baffling and misguided. You're constantly complaining about things that already worked just fine in the previous games, while nitpicking game design that in my opinion does not stem back from what it feels like a natural progression for this kind of platforming.

Though I do think that Jirard was being a little more critical than he probably should have, I suppose he supports the reasoning as to why Insomiac left Spyro and created Ratchet, because a character like Spyro doesn't have hands or inventions to use like Rachet does, meaning that there's you can do as much with Spyro and inevitably, you'll just end up either repeating yourself or focusing on other characters entirely, as evidenced by Year of the Dragon and Skylanders.

Honestly, I feel like Jirard harping so much on Spyro 3 for being similar to the other games is more of an indication that he doesn't like the other games as much as he says he does than that the game isn't all that great for being similar. Especially when he gives Mario of all franchises a pass in comparison in that department. You want two games that feel painfully similar to each other? Try playing New Super Mario Wii and New Super Mario U back to back. Those games are so similar they even have the exact same final boss.

Also, that has an excuse. Sony Computer Entertainment gave Insomniac Games them less than two months from Spyro 2's release to start preparing Spyro 3, even less time than from Spyro 1 to 2, which makes a lot of sense. They wanted the money, but they really had a hard time trying to look for new ideas, and that's why they stopped working for the Spyro franchise, to not let it become worse, for its good.

True,true. Personally, all the spyro games are boss and will never be forgotten. The only reason why i can't remember most of spyro 1 is due to how long ago it was/how young i was back then. They all each had their ups and downs. But various things made up for that, spyro 1 and 2 you can't fully blame due to time limits and hardware/etc limitations. And it's just so old, to shit on it now would seem pointless to me. There are things to hate and things to love, and all that is different/opinion based , via the individual. Even spyro enter the dragon fly is memorable - and before you rip me a new one. Yes, it was obviously massively bullshitted and rushed. They were beating a dead horse and just wanted a few quick bucks it seemed. (to me at least) But all the Lag, crashes, glitches, failure to save (which all our games did for some reason..) etc, it was just a boss reality. It opened so many new doors, rich colors / bright world (at the time) For me, who only played really blocky old games like spyro 1 and legend of dragoon, the graphics were mega wow. xD so i remember that feeling. The cute little pesky dragonflies... and that lava slide, god i loved those! and the forest theme music. along with all the creative different worlds, it could have been 10x better had they treated it better and worked out the kinks. I also loved the breath options. The only downside was the story and really pale ending that felt disappointing and dry to my kid self. /IMHO.

Year of the Dragon is my favorite one. Maybe it's just "Spyro 2: Bigger than Before," but I don't see a problem with that. There's plenty of variety and uniqueness in YotD, like the friends and a lot of the minigames/egg challenges. YotD also has, in my opinion anyway, the best soundtrack and best visuals of the trilogy, so it's always a joy just to be playing the game from an aesthetic angle. Feels good.

+The Fantastical Mr. Fedora Jirad is totally a massive Nintendo Fanboy. But that's irrelevant because this isn't a Nintendo game & he didn't compare it to one except in one regard &, in that regard, those particular games are better so he was right to make that comparison. He also worded the comparison in a way that acknowledges that those games are samey but just not too samey for him so he was actually being unusually nonfanboyish about it. Face it. This review seems confused. Saying there's nothing much different from 2, showing differences from 2 with new characters and vehicles... bitching about the new characters saying you want the familiar character you leveled... then following it up saying the familiar character is bland because you know it. Such disdain here. 17 hours of playtime marked as "short" on PS1... and there's games on PS1 I wish lasted that long. Watching this right after the latest Paper Mario and comparing the tone of the reviews, makes me wonder if he'd have the same opinion if this was a Nintendo release

+Chezne He explained that so clearly in the review that a 5-year-old would understand. He didn't like that Spyro's exactly the same but he also didn't like that their attempts at making the game different involved taking Spyro away to make you do tedious things instead of just improving Spyro. It's like if Mario World had the exact same gameplay as Super Mario Bros 3 & looked pretty much the same but tried to cover up the problem by sometimes making you play unfun minigames & play as new characters who aren't fun to use. + PalmerDude Gaming Nintendo bias would only be relevant if this were a Nintendo game or he compared it unfairly to one. He definitely is a massive Nintendo fanboy but it's not relevant here.

Also no its not a dlc, no dlc has ever offered an entirely new game, the game is different from the first two but it's not entirely different, it's a sequel and it's still spyro the dragon, ever heard if it ain't broke then don't fix it?
@D_YellowMadness6 жыл бұрын
+ Dev n It's not an entirely new game if it rehashes that much. If you're referring to the length of the content, Fallout 3's Point Lookout beats it. Then again, I like Half-Life 2's episodic sequels more than the original Half-Life 2 & those are totally just expansion packs.

Well, I'll give it to him that the FNAF games are cheap made and intentionally simple and short (him and everyone else started being critical of the games after awhile), whereas Year of the Dragon was a big-budget sequel to two of the best platformers of the PlayStation era. ...that being said, his opinion's entirely sketchy here and he failed to recognize that YOTD was more or less an expansion of what the previous games offered, ironing out all the quirks and adding more characters to give it some variety.
@D_YellowMadness6 жыл бұрын
The FNAF games change up their formula more & have less of a tendency to shoot themselves in the foot in the process. I say this as someone who hates FNAF. One of the only things I like about FNAF is its story.
@shupasopni6 жыл бұрын
Yeah the second one has like double the robots, the 3rd is just one and some ghost that are more obstacles than actual enemies and it also takes place in a horror attraction, the 4th adds movement (sorta) and completely ditches the night shift at the pizzeria setting even more than the 3rd for a kid having horrific nightmares, the 5th has you actually moving between areas and doing completely different games in order to progress through nights, and the 6th masquerades as a FNAF Pizzeria Simulator and has you digging up and inspecting old broken robots when you aren't playing the simulator game. Like D YellowMadness I also haven't actually played any FNAFs and mostly only liked the story, but to imply the games aren't different is just ignorance.

Spyro 3 was a masterpiece. Not sure why you felt it was monotonous. It never sold itself as something way different than the first 2. In fact, once they did mess with the equation in the 4th game (frost, electric, bubble breath) it absolutely sucked and went down hill fast. It's a collectathon just like the first 2 and that's what makes it great.

I think I'll just pretend you've never reviewed this game. Most of the points you gave about the game being "the exact same" as it's predecessor is stupid, especially if you compare them to the Mario games which only differ in power-ups. The fact that you can play as different characters, ride new vehicles, have a more in-depth story and ride a skateboard seem different enough for me, though I guess someone needs to judge a game by what it's offereing, rather than who made it.
@DailyDungeonists6 жыл бұрын
Well it works for pokemon. Spyro gave way more new things than pokemon would you listed at least 4+. The most pokemon has done is alter graphics, (which is a no brainer so doesn't really count.) adds in new pokemon (sure there's a decent amount of them but its all the same thing: new mons to catch) and then different characters and events (but pretty much : person moves to new town, or something, becomes trainer sees professor picks first pokemon or is given one, goes off to become some champion) The biggest changes they've ever done is : Styles ; Pager pokemon ; riding a default mon that isnt even yours around town and various other places you need to get by ; and the mega stone/z stones. But the CONCEPT is the same. Where as spyro changes it up, albeit it's little differences,but it works. Pokemon is still on-going but no ones getting tired of it or complaining (in rough speaking im sure some have) I personally LOVED the introduction of playable characters,the mini games, THE SKATEBOARD. The lava and forest "Slides" in enter the dragonfly. and the breath options. (along with the changing graphics) Are ripto and year similar? yes. and i see his point at times, but there's way worse things.
@D_YellowMadness6 жыл бұрын
The Mario games differ more when you're actually playing the game. This game doesn't differ at all when you're actually playing it but tries to cover the problem up by sometimes making you play different, vastly inferior games.

......Jirard you...you just can't catch a break, can you? First there was Color Splash, and now there's Spyro 3. Oh boy, Chrono Trigger could make or break him, you guys realize this? Think about it. People are saying they feel like something happened, that made Jirard have the salty attitude he had toward the game. I think they're right. I feel like he was too critical and negative and also glossed over a LOT, like explaining the new characters that well and their scenarios; he's never that negative unless it's something like Dead Rising. There's also some story moments such as Bianca's development and the Soccress's true plan. What...happened? Ironically, you could say Jirard himself was monotonous (no offense) because he repeated a lot of the same comments over and over and didn't do much for this review, in a sense. I love and respect what you do, but I guess you do have your hit and misses. The main issue with saying nothing changed is other games in other serieses were arguably doing that too, like Crash Bandicoot with the 3rd entry Warped, Mega Man 8 and X4-6, and Resident Evil 3. And Jirard was not hard on some of those games (Idk why he hasn't touched X5 or 6) as he was on this. For the record, this is my favorite of the trilogy cause I feel it ironed out everything in the series and still brought some new content. But the other two are close to call, only the original falls at the bottom due to being the first but even still it has its worth. Also you guys are all right, when he gets to Enter the Dragonfly...oh boy. He's gonna...shit, how will he react?

Fun Fact: PS1 collectors should buy the Greatest Hits version of Spyro 3. Why? you may ask. The reason is the Greatest Hits version is the most complete version of Spyro 3 meaning there are some bug fixes and more importantly an extra story cutscene and an updated soundtrack. The original black label version was a bit rushed to get it released during the actual Year of the Dragon so not all the composed music was finished meaning some levels had recycled music from other levels which gets fixed in the Greatest Hits version with every level and hub world having its own unique level song. the most obvious example is the black label version has the 1st and 3rd hub world share the same song but the Greatest Hits version gave the 3rd hub world its own song as originally intended

Dear Jirard, I disagree with a number of your points... but the biggest one is when you called it '''forgettable."' If you're an adult playing through the original trilogy in proper order, Spyro 3 might come across as just more of the same with better graphics and a few extra side characters. I'll concede at least that much. But in my case, this game was anything but forgettable: Imagine yourself as a little kid in 3rd grade 16 years ago, with a family on a tight budget who could only afford a Super-Nintendo from the flea market up until this point. But- (And I only know this in hindsight because my mother explained it over the phone recently) -the PS2 release caused a massive price drop on PS1s, so your parents were able to buy one for fairly cheap right when this game came out. So, after only ever having played.Super Mario World 1&2 before, your dad hooks up your brand new Playstation on Christmas morning in 2000, pops-in Spyro 3 and then WHAM- You're using analogue thumb sticks to run around torching, kicking, clubbing, and even bombing rynocs on your quest to rescue all the dragon eggs. The beautiful colors, the fantastic soundtrack; My first Christmas with my Playsation and Spyro 3 really feels like when my childhood started. And then 9 months later 9/11 happened and the whole entire world became scary for kids my age. That's what this game means to me. And that's why... with deep regret, I give your video a dislike for calling this game '''forgettable''' With that said, congratulations on reaching 200 videos. -Leivthious
@dzikiben48 жыл бұрын
and your point is... game was anything but forgettable, because nostalgia factor and it did help you to get through 9/11? don't get me wrong. i fully disagree with guy in the video; not to mention that i feel sorry for you, Americans, for 9/11 (i'm actually European). i consider Spyro 3 the best from the trilogy, but you, huh, instead of being essential, you're emotional and overly sentimental. that isn't a good way of getting the points. first of all - Spyro 2 set the table, but Spyro 3 perfected the formula by adding even more variety for already pretty damn complex and diverse game. flying at jetboard and doing tricks? oh yeah. shot some dinosaurs or ninjas as a space monkey? sure. flying as a Sparx, playing in a modern version of Namco's Galaga? pretty awesome. i didn't notice any of it in Spyro 2 (and there's more of it). calling Year of The Dragon some kind of flat DLC is just dishonest, especially in context of Spyro 1 - oh god, that game was and still is boring and repetitive. loved the letter form, cheers!
@charliechan68926 жыл бұрын
dzikiben4 yes no shit, it was designed for kids, so if an adult is playing through these and bitching, it's pathetic.
@DailyDungeonists6 жыл бұрын
Bro... :")) your comment literally flashed me back to my child hood *sniff* hahahaha..! Ironically we got this on christmas. We only ever had n64 and a broken down first version ps1 ((and later on pocket Flip-GBAs) , sega genesis and atari at grama 2's , that one nintendo(?) system with the really huge tall boxes you had to blow on every 2 hrs for them to work, and (later on) ps2 at grandma 1's house. I lived off games like pac-man, weird 2-D car shooter / racer that went straight up instead of horrizontal and fucked with your eyes, Legend of dragoon (love it), Spyro 1 & 2 , and OOT/MM. When that is all you've ever had and you get something even remotely improving, you TREASURE that thing ontop of a being a kid to boot. Playing in the now as an adult just can't beat/recreate those moments and feelings. Those things NEED to be taken into account when reviewing, bash something all you want, but don't dismiss that, mention it. You'll gain more respect and understanding. People are free to bitch though. xD

@WandererEris8 жыл бұрын
I highly disagree with your assessment of this game. I feel like it was the best of the original trilogy, with Spyro 2 being that awkward middle child that tried new things and failed several times. The lack of unlocks isn't a bad thing as it lays out what you can do from the start and doesn't force you to find gems to continue with the game if you're playing casually. The variety of characters and mission types really helps set it apart from the first two games, so saying it's unmemorable feels false. The levels themselves are a lot more streamlined to keep the action moving forward, which is a huge step up from Spyro 2's much more open levels that left you wandering about half the time. This game's baby dragons were also way more enjoyable to collect than the talismans and orbs of Spyro 2, and they felt closer to Spyro 1's dragons you had to save.
@anthonyfarchione66708 жыл бұрын
Wanderer Eris I totally agree with you, I've played all the games and the 3rd felt the best. The levels were better, the collectables were better, the characters were and the worlds felt better and more diverse than the 2nd game
@Rex130138 жыл бұрын
Wanderer Eris I agree, spyro 3 has always been my favorite. spyro 2 always feels to me, with all the backtracking and levels and stuff. Year of the Dragon has better level design, characters, music and collectibles in my opinion. And about the power up already being unlock, I just see it as the continuation of the story, since he bought them from Moneybags in the last game, so it doesn't bothers me. I always replay spyro 1 and 3 because they're very enjoyable and nostalgic to me.
@Rex130138 жыл бұрын
***** Yeah, only with the characters you unlock, but if you get everything in every stage you can unlock them before leaving the world. Also, I don't consider it backtracking, because you're basically playing in a new stage with a new character, not the going through the same stage twice like spyro 2.

I'm only saying this because lately the videos have been littered with jokes like this where you take one little thing and make a ton of jokes about it which can make the video seem as if your reaching for easy views. Just helping out, keep on completing games.

I played this as a child, finished it at 15 years old due to my childhood copy being a pirated version (my finished playthrough was a PS3 download) and loved completing it. I will always view the third game as a more enjoyably executed version of the second game's formulas with additional playable characters. It has one of my all-time favorite video game soundtracks and I love the sound design and the imaginative worlds.

Holy crap. That sun that you burn is trapped in my subconscious. I dreamt about that sun and I have not played that game in 3 years... I had to burn the sun in my dream and I was looking all over for those suns.

Can't help but notice Jirard claims Spyro 3 doesn't do anything to stand out, then does a segment on all the extra playable characters.

He addressed that in the video. And you know that because you watched it. Dumbass.

weird how it feels like he has personal vendetta against the game, he goes on and on about the same weak points, but when it comes to the good features theres always a "but" after it. spyiro is a beloved game by manny, and year of the dragon was the best one according to the majority of the fans, it was a bad desicion to start shiting on it just because you clearly think this series is overrated overall.
@prime98168 жыл бұрын
Okay, I have a couple of issues with this review, You said Spyro 3 brought nothing new to the table.. Let me prove that wrong. 4 new and enjoyable characters to play as New AWESOME Skateboarding sections FAR better music than Spyro 1 and 2 Better level design The models actually DO look different and better Bianca... That's all that needs to be said about her, she's fucking awesome Including the 4 new characters, there are a total of SEVEN characters to play as (Yes, the seven includes Hunter) TONS more stuff to collect Vehicle sections (Though, they are definitely FAR from the best thing in the game) 4 completely original worlds to explore in And so on.. I rest my case..
@nightflyer7778 жыл бұрын
I honestly disagree with the music part. Not saying the music isn't good, but in my opinion, the first game had the best and most memorable soundtrack.
@prime98168 жыл бұрын
***** Really? I thought Spyro 1 was the worst in terms of everything.

RM 0505 Well, that's you. For me, (and it's probably nostalgia talking) "Spyro the Dragon" was my favorite game in the franchise. I mean, I love the sequels (only two and three), but the first has a special place in my heart (Same with "Crash Bandicoot", except instead of the first game, I loved 2 more than 1 and 3). You want one that's the worst in terms of everything, play "Enter the Dragonfly". Now that one is the absolute worst.
@makeshiftswahili97108 жыл бұрын
Agree with everything except "far better music" I think it's the weakest and most gimmicky music in the series (well the ps1 trilogy i mean). Spyro 1's music is top dog tho. Filled with motifs and dynamics. I mean come on Toasty is in Spyro 1. But alas different strokes
@Treetops278 жыл бұрын
+RM 0505 Spyro 1 was better than Spyro 3 but not as good as Spyro 2. The first game had the best music out of the trilogy tho.

I'm shocked, this was my favourite Spyro game. I liked the story more, I liked the villain, I liked the animations on all the babies you saved, the multiple characters. And unlike Gnasty from the first game, that just runs from you, the final boss in this game is actually a real fight. And a good one too!
@SheepFace8 жыл бұрын
Well! Sorry, but I need to disagree. I love the Spyro games more than any other series of game, and especially the original three. Spyro 1 is the best to me, only because I KNOW I'll have a good time playing it, and Spyro 3 is second best in my opinion. Worst is Spyro 2, for many reasons, which I'll go over when I review it. So yeah, Spyro 3 is awesome and nostalgic, so I don't know... Respect to you, but I have to disagree. Also please no one attack me, because yeah I offered no counterpoints yet. Edit: grammar

Slashstar314 I don't think it is fair to judge an RPG by how good it is when you only played 2 hours of it. Chrono Trigger was very revolutionary for it's time which is why it's held in such high regard. The battle system wasn't the only thing it innovated. It innovated story and character relationships as well as how a traditional RPG should play. Hell it's the first game with multiple( as in more than 2) endings. I suggest giving it another go because I don't think you gave it a fair shot honestly.
@burgermike928 жыл бұрын
Slashstar314 OK then let me ask you this. You said u like different RPGs right? What would those be? I'm genuinely asking. You not finding it difficult is fine,but you said it's not your kind of RPG. What IS your type of RPG then?

Honestly this was one of my favorite Spyros. I even played the first two. As silly as some of the stuff was it was the most memorable for me. The side characters were fun and unique and the skateboard sections were absolutely fantastic. I dunno maybe it's just me?

I think we can all agree this is Jirard’s worst video. In what world does Galaxy 2 innovate more than Spyro 3?
@Jirachibi258 жыл бұрын
I have the opposite opinion. This game changes TOO MUCH. I WISH it was the same as Spyro 2 but they added so many playable characters, so many new types of challenges, creative environments, and great music. It is tied with Ratchet and Clank 2 as my favorite game of all time, I love so much about it. It adds a ton of new ideas and content and doesnt make the formula stale. I normally like your stuff, but this was a terrible review
@BryanX647 жыл бұрын
Same thing I had against Crash 3, it changed too much and added a lot of mediocre segments like the airplane and underwater levels. But for this game, I'm enjoying it so far. Going thru it for the first time

I know you commented a year ago and and I agree with you 99.5% (roughly lol) about the gameplay. But you gotta understand that it's his opinion. Im replaying the game right now and im loving it, definitely, however Im seeing some 'errors, if you will, I didnt see as a kid because I thought it was just a part of the gameplay (like the side characters being clunky as fuck or some extra missions literally requiring knowledge of the map otherwise being unwinnable) for example)... anyway- I agree with you as thís is one of my fave games ever :)

OH MY GOD. I literally just started screaming when I saw this video and acted like I was a psychopath. Haven't even started the video and I'm still screeching like a pterodactyl. This makes me so incredibly happy, thank you. It may not seem like it's much, but it means a lot to me. Also, I still have EVERY Spyro game, even ones not made by Insomniac, and they're still playable on my PS2. It makes me happy other people care about him too. I even have a plushie.

I'm waiting for my boss to show up to work so I figured I'd consider this video "watched" if I got past the 15 minute point, and if my boss showed up I'd just drop this video. Well, I'm glad my boss is super late so I could see that ending. Congrats!

I'm sorry I'm all for respecting opinions but calling this game mediocre and the worst of the original trilogy just feels wrong. I mean how is it not any different if there are 6 extra and unique characters to play as?
@TwiliAutumn8 жыл бұрын
I do have to agree though. It didn't add much to the series. But it was still a good game.
@TeckGeck8 жыл бұрын
Knightmayor I think the problem was that they added *too* much to the game. The game didn't know what it wanted to be.
@talonblade3368 жыл бұрын
I don't think he is calling it a mediocre game overall, just compared to the first and second game. The other two games are a lot more memorable for me with their music, level design, and mechanics. The third one... compared to it's older brothers it just kind of felt like it was trying so hard to impress everyone but ended up mimicking what had already been done previously with only a few different things. Spyro never really changes or learns anything new through out the adventure and to me that is a BIG no no since that is your star character. The one that should be getting at least something new in a new game. Insomniac pulled themselves thin with the new playable characters trying to give them fun and interesting game play (mind you I will not say they were boring, I enjoyed them for what they were). Anyway I feel like I started a rant when I just wanted to get my opinion our there and hopefully try to clear up what I think Jirard is trying to say.
@TeckGeck8 жыл бұрын
talonblade3 You just perfectly explained my problem with this game XD If you compare this with Crash Bandicoot 3 and what it did to improve itself over Crash Bandicoot 2, the main change to Crash himself was new abilities the thing that Spyro 3 was lacking. Sure, you could unlock powers for Sparks but they were optional and not situational.

Tons of bugs and glitches, boring levels, an annoying tutorial that drags on, crappy minigames, How did Ripto survive being burned to death in lava last game? there is only one boss, and there is a glitch that allows you to beat the game in only 5-10 minutes! The only good thing about the game would be the last level before the end boss.

New Years Eve 2000. Five year old me, and my eight year old brother played the heck out of this game on the PS2 we got for Christmas. We played right into 2001, but then came the time to quit, with no memory card to save. We were devastated because we made it to the final hub world, and all that progress was lost.
