I was channel surfing tonight and stumbled into Austin City Limits tonight and I am seeing St. Vincent for the first time. Holy crap!!! What a unique sound and talent in this group. And a beautiful, talented front woman💪💪💪Reminds me of the first time I saw Grace Potter and the Nocturnals randomly on Austin City Limits. I was so blown away by Grace Potter that night. Grace and the band was so great sounding. I am truly impressed by what I'm watching right now. You can't beat Austin City Limits for finding a unique sounding band that SOMEHOW you have never heard of.

Very true. Annie made a fan of me with her older material because I liked the sincerity (especially if you watch her older stuff live, like the DUMBO sessions), but with each album, she changed her sound and evolved, so I re-listen to them often. Each one satisfies a mood for me. This new album is pretty different, and I like it. It satisfies a different mood. It's fiercer, more experimental, and there's plenty more guitar (which Annie seemed to want to get back to). She's one of the few artists choosing to explore their style, and partially why she's my favorite artist. I'm excited for what she comes up with next.

A beautiful woman got me into st vincent back when this came out, havent heard from her since. I hope my old lovers still like some of the music i shared, and maybe even it reminds them not to be awful to their partners. If i knew how evil most of the future women i would date would be, i would have tried waaay harder when i was young in the free love vibe.
