An interesting coin design that came after years of Weimar hyperinflation. I have a few, the 5 mk. pieces are 900 AG and the smaller coin is 625 like you said, there’s also the Potsdam church variety. If you watch “Klugscheisser Dan” on YT he finds a bunch metal detecting.

Yeh thats exactly what Im thinking. Who held these? And what was their part in everything? Who knows! Its 62.5% so about 5.5g per coin. Not alot and for the silver the premium is huge but thats understandable!

I agree they are a part of history. I find them fascinating because of the history behind them. I have been to the concentration camps years ago . Oh and I am not a Nazi either.

I bought a single 1939 2 reichsmark coin. It's cool to own a controversial piece of history that might make people go "OMG WTF". I don't intend to start a massive collection of nazi coins but perhaps I'll complete a set at some point.

I bought a few swastika coins from a pawn shop German dealer he was nervous about selling those but happy I bought some 625 5/10 mark coins He said that kind of silver is so cheap and no one buys it.I guess most Europeans want that fine silver or gold.

I actually think I was pretty level headed throughout the video. I didnt harp on about things, I just said these are controversial for some people and simply owning them does not make you a Nazi. How is that virtue-signalling (something which I absolutely despise btw)?. If I was virtue signalling I'd have taken these coins and desultory them on camera. As it happens, I have a tube of 50 which I'm pleased to own. I also dont really care about getting a manicure before I record videos. As long as thye arent filthy who cares?

@@StackerNoobUK I'm just sick of hearing that term every day of my life. Everywhere I go, it's there. The crazy people in the media are scared of the return of the nazis and so on. It's like the ultimate boogeyman. I just don't care. These are some beautiful coins and they are German. "Nazi" isn't written anywhere on them. If I remember correctly, "Nazi" isn't even a real term, it's more like a slander. Like calling black people the n word.

People throw the term around far too quickly these days, which is why i felt the need to remind people that holding these coins is not worthy of the label. Nazi is shorthand for National Socialist, the political party headed up by Hitler. I wouldnt go as far as saying it equates to racial slurs, but I do agree its thrown around with no appreciation for its original meaning and intended impact.
