Thank you for posting this. The voice of Stan Rogers is unmistakable and exceedingly likeable.

Thank you so much for uploading these gems. I just found him few years ago and immediatley fell in love. There is something special and intimate here, even compared to the albums which are something in their own right. Stan is a true hero. Forever missed by a 27 year old Cincinnati kid; Stan makes everyone feel welcome to the show I love the pictures you chose. They remind me of family vacations and reunions I had as a child.

You are welcome. Good for you to have discovered Stan's music. Read Garnet Rogers book, at garnetrogers.com/ Have you heard Garnet sing Night Drive? Its about Stan and Garnet driving during the night to the next town. Garnet would close concerts with this song, I do not know how he can sing it without breaking down. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nHnchat9rKaXpM0 Frankie and Johnny is a great song of his about two brothers too. Thanks about the photos, as we go to Maine every October and I thought they had a Canadian Theme. Listen to www.folkalley.com out of Kent State. Been to Cincinnati once in 1993 for baseball, have some Montgomery Ribs and enjoy the music not played on commercial radio. Look up Blue Rodeo and Great Big Sea on KZbin. Ron Sexsmith, Royal Wood, Canadian artist are great. We listen alot to CBC radio 2. also including WUMB in Boston Best Mike

Thanks for all these lovely concerts. He was a truly remarkable musician, singer-songwriter and story teller. I used to love going to his concerts and there was something special about them that couldn't quite be captured by studio recordings. These concerts take me back and it is wonderful to be reminded of the magic.

Thank you so much for posting these concerts. Having been born in 1989, seven years after Stan's tragic passing, I never had an opportunity to see him perform live. Hearing these live shows is the next best thing.

you are very welcome, if you live in Canada, we are very much in Canadian artist, as we just saw Alan Doyle two times this year in Maryland. We listen to CBC radio 2, love 22 Minutes. There is very little material of live Stan Rogers, Read Garnet Rogers book, its long, but a good read. Garnet knows us! Best.

+ westernmaryland1928 Wow. I didn't even know that Garnet had written a book. I'll have to check that out. Stan is one of my personal heroes and I've been known to play quite a few of his songs on my guitar, especially the Mary Ellen Carter. His music has helped me through some of the toughest times of my life and his rousing lyrics never fail to inspire me. Again, thank you for this abundance of live material. I especially love the humorous banter between Stan and Garnet between songs. Take care now.

You are welcome, as I never got to see Stan play. I do remember when he died sadly, as I live in Maryland, not Canada. You have to get the book, go to Garnet website and maybe you can get a autograph book. Garnet knows us, we have seen him so many times in concert in the DC area. He is a big fan of the American Civil War, as he has a song on youtube about it, never put on a CD, however. archive.org/details/DickCerriMusicAmericanaRadioShowCanadianArtistJuly311988Tape1 I have alot of audio from a folk show, radio, that got us in the DC area exposed to Stan Rogers and others. Dick did a top 40 ever year, voted by the listener, and one year Mary Ellen Carter was the no. 1 song. This link is Dick's show featuring Canadian Artist, including Spirit of the West. He would play Ron Sexsmith. All shows are under Dick Cerri on search. The book is a eye opener .

I can’t thank you enough for posting all theses wonderful performances.! I have every official recoding so it’s nice to hear all the bootlegs. All thing considered, there’s not much out there so this is great! I recently saw Garnet at the Iron Horse in Northampton, MA. it was a fabulous show, as you can imagine, and at the meet and greet he signed a copy of his 700+ page memoir, “Night Drive: Travels With My Brother.” It’s a tell all, the good, bad and the ugly and it could use a good editor but I’m loving it . It’s an informative read and a good contrast to the sanitized video “ One Warm Line” and the bio “An Unfinshed Conversation.” BTW, recently saw the fabulous Canadian band ,Enter The Haggis, and they closed with a striking Celtic version of Stan’s “White Squall.” It blew my mind. They also had a fun story to tell about Garnet at annual The Stan Rogers festival in Nova Scotia. That’s an event I hope to attend at some future date. Once again, thanks for this gift to all of us Stan Rogers fan So!

You are welcome, as its a long story, I covered on one of these recordings I posted, on how I got these to share with all. Garnet knows my wife and I by face. The book is great, sad ending about the cocaine use by Stan.

You are welcome, as its a long story on how I got all of these concerts to share with all, as it is explained on one of the concerts upload. Garnet knows us very well by face, my wife and I. The book is great. Sad about the cocaine use in the end by Stan. I see you are into biking. We are too, as we live in Maryland and bike in MD on the C&O Canal every weekend, Rail trails in PA and then every October in Acadia and the Down East Sunrise Rail Trail. Mike

During the Iron Horse show Garnet mentioned someone giving him a stack of bootlegs of the old shows and that in the past he would have felt it was “theaft of property “ but now was grateful but “I just don’t have the stomach to listen to them.” Would that be you?

And yes, love bicycle touring . Went from DC to Pittsburgh on c&o and GAP. Wonderful October tour with perfect weather. Cycled off route up to Falling Water which blew my mind! What a house and property!

With Ariel Rogers' permission, I took Stan Rogers' epic song, the Mary Ellen Carter and expanded it into a 44 chapter novel, just recently released and available at Amazon.com (search by the title: Rise Again - The Story of the Mary Ellen Carter). Still looking for a Canadian publishing house willing to publish and distribute in Canada. Jim Cain
