Star Trek: Picard Season 3 is in its final act, and the crew is fighting for the Titan against the Changeling conspiracy. The eighth episode, titled "Surrender," is a thrilling crowd-pleaser that advances the series' overarching story. Vadic takes control of the Titan and wipes out Starfleet opposition, forcing Picard and his allies to come up with a plan to retake the ship. I can’t think of any criticisms. Season 3 is a breath of fresh air. Teamwork. Camaraderie, brotherhood, It’s what TNG is all about. Vadic checks all the boxes encompassing what a TNG villain should be. She’s evil, certifiably insane, pompous, cocksure, mysterious, bad ass, cunning, and funny, either intentionally or unintentionally. She’s flamboyantly silly to a pathological degree but no less silly than Q was. No, I rather think that Picard season three is rather flawless. It’s too bad this is it, but at least my favorite Trek series will receive a proper farewell. The TNG cast will lay in a course to intercept the sunset at maximum warp soon. There’s always spin offs to look forward to. There’s got to be a Titan series in the works. Jack will remain on the ship after this changeling crisis is over and all the TNG crew members go their separate ways. Ironically he’ll become the prodigious gadfly malapert wunderkind that his brother Wesley was. Instead of telling Jack to shut up, Captain Shaw will simply punch him in the face. Titan is a worthy successor to TNG. Picard season three hits all the right chords and I couldn’t be happier!

Truly amazing.......Picard season 3 has been above and beyond anything I could have hoped for.....Terry Matalas has understood what picard was missing in season 1 and season 2......the writers have brought out the best in each TNG character and each character was given his or her episode to let us the audience know what the characters have been up to.....I have watched each episode twice and I'm sure I speak for just about everyone that I wish there were 10-20 episodes more instead of just 2....I hope Terry Matalas can work his magic with reviving Deep Space Nine or Voyager....if not, then Star Trek Legacy will be fine with me......three cheers and a score of 10 out of 10 for Picard season 3.

Imagine if the thing inside Jack is a Pah'Wraith and they have to go to DS9 then to the wormhole to talk to the Prophets and we get a Sisko cameo including others from DS9. With Frontier Day having all of Starfleet there now imagine the cameos we could see of legacy characters in the next 2 episodes. Tuvak needs to rescued Admiral Janeway will most cetainly be a part of Frontier Day. Garak, Kira, Quark all on DS9. Hell we might even get to see Paris and Kim not to mention The Doctor. This could end up being the answer to the 2 questions Picard season 2 left us with. Why did Q die and what was the firey blast of energy the Borg and other ships had to defend against. It is the end of and finale farewell not just to TNG but to DS9 and VOY as well. Why not give the fans what they have been wanting a giant reunion of characters from all 3 series and with the Pah'Wraith being the main villain and Frontier Day added this is the perfect set up for such a thing. This entire 3rd season of Picard has been nothing but a cameo flood of legacy characters. I say let us finish with a bang. Personally my theory is it is a Pah'Wraith but not just any. It is either Dukat or Kosst Amojin. I am hoping it is Kosst Amojin but Dukat would be a better answer being he hated the Federation and would want it destroyed. How this ties into the syndrome Jack and Jean Luc have I have no idea but I hear the final 2 episode are supposed to blow our minds so we can only wait to see.

This was the narrator's finest work. All of the pronunciations work perfect. And the writing of the segment was great also. My only note is that the changeling even if she didn't need to breathe, still froze in the vacuum of space, so it tracks. It was the temperature that rendered her immobile

About 29 years ago I was completely bummed out when my favorite TV show ever went off the air. The first two episodes of Picard brought on a sense of nostalgic melancholia for Next Generation, but after 29 years, I realized that the old adage is true: You can't go home again. But then Season 3 changed everything and proved the adage false. That scene when at last they are all together again was what we've all been waiting for. And it was the best Star Trek scene since the final poker game. One way or another this must keep on going. It cannot be the end.

Data and Lore deserved so much better prior to this season - Ep. 8 was more than anyone could have ever hoped for. Terry Matalas deserves all of the props for giving Data back to the fans, and in such a wonderful satisfying way. I can't wait to see what's in store for the character in Picard and beyond. Brent Spiner is a national treasure.

One of the more known tricks of the Prophets was to appear as those Sisko or anyone else they are speaking with knew in their life. We saw this in the first 2 episodes of Deep Space 9 called Emissary. When the Pah'Wraith reached out and contacted Kai Winn they appeared as people she knew, mainly Sisko and those on the station. We also know that Sisko during the second vision to Kai Winn which is just one of the best scenes in all of DS9. "Give us your allegiance Kai Win, Adami. Restore us to our rightful place in the Celestial Temple. Reject the false Prophets. Walk our path and embrace your own Destiny....Feel our love...The love...Of the Pah'Wraith." He opened his eyes and they glowed red. When Siskos Son was taken by Kossta Amojin who was basically the strongest of the Pah'Wraith, Jakes eyes glowed red. Same happened when Dukat was possessed. Now we look at what is happening to Jack. He is seeing red everywhere and his eyes glow red. Not to mention when he "hallucinates" he is seeing just 1 person each time or hearing just one voice and it is always someone he knows in his life. Troi senses another presence within Jack and it is clearly evil and weak. I am thinking this is not just a Pah'Wraith but Kosst Amojin himself returned. This could be what the Borg are guarding against. Perhaps the Pah'Wraith are trying to break out of whatever prison the Prophets put them in. Perhaps it is the case of a theory I read a few days ago where someone thought that what took place at the end of Season 2 of Picard was the Pah'Wraith creating their own Celestial Temple. This could also be the reason why Q died and which it is some how tied into the Pah'Wraith and the Prophets. I mean they are powerful and maybe no where near the level of the Q but maybe just Q himself was affected. This could be the big bang finale 2 parter to end Picard Season 3 on with them giving an opening for bringing back Sisko or having a huge threat like this would be a reason to bring in Frontier Day where all the ships are there anyways so lets have all currently living Star Fleet charcters to be apart of and be in one place to join in the fight against stopping the Pah'Wraith in some way. I mean perhaps I am giving these last 2 episodes to much hope but I dunno. I feel if we are going to say goodbye to Trek and it is going to involve the 3 main series that were airing basically at the same time, TNG - DS9 - VOY. Then lets just just do this thing and bring as many legacy characters back 1 last time for the proper send off. I just hope I am not let down because I have gone and built this theory up to much which I tend to do. Lmao

I will even add that since the Pah'Wraith use the faces of people we know that when Troi opened the door and saw smoke and what looks like the orange glow of fire that she saw her Son that had passed and that is why she was so disturbed and had to rush out of the room. I mean we all have a theory that would fit and this seems to fit but knowing me I have made it to grand and it is nothing like this. Still we can always hope.

At least this episode pays off Lores return. I remember as a kid seeing the trailer for Star Trek Nemesis and it read "Every good has an Evil" and right then you saw what looked like Data being turned on and his eye shot upward followed by Data talking to what looked like Lore and telling him "You have to be deactivated" and Lore responding "Why?" and Data saying "Because you are dangerous" and my teen self was all excited with Lores return! Sadly this was such a let down with it being B4 and not Lore. Ugh it made me so angry. So glad we got to see Lores return.

Deanna knew that the fake Riker was a Changling because she couldn't read him. As for Data, I have been hoping for decades that Data would be canonically alive in the Star Trek universe. Though Season one ended beautifully, I was still left dissatisfied. I am glad that they could get Brent to agree to play Data once again. Rene as Odo would have been spectacular. I wouldn't have minded them finding a replacement who could do enough of a job on the voice. Oh well, at least he is still alive and well.

I really love this show as I have been a fan since I was 12 years old. Looking at all the different Star Trek that have produced over this long period there is much to relate to in real life. In the Star Trek fictional universe, the Eugenics Wars are a series of conflicts that occurred between 1992 and 1996 timeline. Guys!, what is happening now with Tranz culture!! This is for real. This is what has started! Have a look at this new enmey in the latest Picard series and replace it with the person in every Tranz vid on YourTube you can find and you will see a very disturbing similarity. Espeically in this very exciting episode 8, have a look how sadistic and immorale that enemy acts out, excellent acting. I am a very old school Star Trek fan and I am making observations realted to the Star Trek Universes and how it was predicted . Maybe this isn't a fiction series but proof that time travel does exist and we are watching our future. Good to see we managed to survive the Eugenics Wars but only after 100's of millions lost their lives.

Did anyone catch the editing/continuity error where the cutscene with the cloaking shuttle is shown *BEFORE* Worf, Riker, Deanna and Rafi return to the Titan? There is one more scene afterwards where Worf says "we must return to the shuttle". 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂

Did anyone hear, when the voice called for Jack at the end of the Ep..... Ben Sisko in the voice??? Because i did. I cant see how that could tie in with the story, but it sounded like Sisko whispering Jack's name. Unlike the other voices that called out to Jack, since they were female. Only the Pah-Wraiths have had the Red Eyes. Dukat and Jake Sisko. So that's "A" connection. Bit weak i know. Pah Wraiths could take over bodies, just like Jack does. Pah-Wraiths are using the Rogue Changelings to get revenge on the Federation? Under threat of destroying the rogue changelings, since the Pah-Wraiths are far more powerful? And Ben Sisko returns in a glorious cameo to yeet the Pah Wraiths into imprisonment or some shit, and Picard sacrifices himself to help Sisko save the Titan. Idk. Spitballing. Trying to find any crazy idea that would get Sisko back. Lol.

Stewart didn't want these characters in HIS show... because he didn't want to share the show. He had to bring in Seven on the second season to try to bring in interest. Unfortunately, they wrote Seven completely opposite of what she was like and was unrecognizable. This 3rd season seems to have brought back Seven we knew. And the crew that should have been with Picard is finally there and it shows that Stewart is finally playing Picard in a way you can actually see.. yes, that's the Picard I remember.

Stewart did not want to repeat what had been done with his character. He wanted to take Picard and show how the years since Nemesis had changed Picard. Looking back on Picard S1 & 2, in my opinion the problem was that there was no continuity between the two seasons. S1 left us with so a number of questions begging to be answered. The fact that the highest ranks of S Fleet were infiltrated by Romulans was never answered. Overall, I think that Picard S1 was very good, S2 was uneven and S3 has been outstanding. I hope that they can continue onward with a Legacy show. BTW-from what I have read about Patrick Stewart he is very generous towards his fellow actors regarding screen time & such.

In Ep 7 when one of them throws Shaw into the turbolift with Vadic and then (implied but not show) gets into the turbolift with them. When they reach the bridge, Shaw falls out of it onto the floor, and behind Seven's back two changelings "rise" into form--Vadic and a henchman. So it seems to me they're all changelings.

I've mostly seen parts of ST: Picard through videos on KZbin. I was reluctant to subscribe (I already have a few streaming services and can't afford much) mainly due to Data dying . . . AGAIN . . . in S1. I know people thought it was beautiful but to me, he was NOT DONE. Roddenberry wanted him get as close to being human as possible without QUITE getting there and he was still far from it - in other words, so much potential was there. (Also, was disappointed with what I thought were wasted deaths, such as Hugh, who I think would have had potential to be VERY interesting character, with a different point of view of being a reformed Borg than, say, Seven). I think NOW I definitely will subscribe when I can, though it might not be right away. I won't mind watching the whole series, knowing it will get to this point. I only wish that Data could meet his "daughter," and the two could spend some time bonding. I have a feeling that both could use it. And the BEST part though, was when ALL of the main TNG cast were together again.

Infinitely better than the dreadful first two seasons of Picard. Although to be honest First Contact is the North and Gold Star of the TNG crew. I wanted the entire team of 7 to be together from the jump with only 7 of 9 as the holdover. Even with only 8 episodes down from 10 if you have to consider a modest budget. To make the season more personable I wished that the villains would be a collaboration between a vengeful cloned Lt. Tasha Yar, her scientist empath consort and a Cadre of rogue Data robotic assassins. Their mission is to destroy the Starfleet Council who they view as hypocrites. Using a dossier on the 7 to torture them along the way. They welcome a game of intergalactic chess so to speak. You can call it Star Trek : Armada.

I actually felt terrible for Lore. Crazy as it sounds, it was very emotional for me. He is still Data's brother. He didn't need to go like that. I know it's an unpopular opinion, but with Data being gone (twice) I believe a Lore redemption arc would have been a better move. Things were dire, and all Lore would have wanted was to survive. I think Lore being a one-dimensional bad guy was a waste.

Simple answer - She didn't have direct control of the transporters. And she most likely had them shut down. Different answer - I doubt that a transporter can simply send the bomb into space. There would be a risk of sending Jack into space or Jack's hand and part of his arm. Which would be a catastrophic injury that just might kill him.

@@billkeithchannelyou think an individual who has committed such an act would, or should even pass the psychic exams to becoming an officer? I would be far more accepting of this seven if not for season one and two of picard.... There's no way star fleet just accepts murderers as officers, takes their word they wont do it again... and promotes them to commander, and given an XO position in one year.... I dont believe these are even the same character, they're written so differently. This seven feels more like the student of Janeway in this season, meanwhile season one seven murders dozens of people just because they were in the same room as her target.... there's no coming back from that in two years to being a leader in star fleet.

@@tigerlily0569 please explain what character development happened that allows seven to turn from a vengeful murderer to an honorable career officer in two years. People using "character development" as a hand wave for bad writing, and poorly thought out/ unseen changes is honestly getting old. Beverly's changes have been earned. Data's, and Geordi's developments have been earned and makes sense. Seven this season makes sense, but like Jean Luc, she is nearly a completely different character. Seven from season one and two didn't make sense, and the student of Janeway was no where to be found then.

I loved this except the part of Deanna taking pain away from will. Speaking from experience as a psychic and empath, when I feel the pain of a loved one, I work with them on it. I talk about the source of the pain, I try to bring everything to the surface. We can transmute the energy in an emergency but if the source of the sadness isn't addressed, it just keeps coming up. This was unbelievable to me with Deanna knowing everything she knows. Even if she was in grief herself, taking on another source of grief would be unbearable and taxing. But everything else was awesome.
