It is encouraging to hear Bill speaking on the most critical issue of our time. His words describe what a normal person would be experiencing, not what some seasoned astronaut has been trained to experience. I hope that his insight gains traction in this crazy and selfish world, where so many people are too lazy to do something constructive. That can be as simple as no longer using plastic bags at the store, cutting down on unnecessary purchases for needless items, for wasting fuels, and so on. Thank you, Mister Shatner. I have new respect for you.

Shatner’s personal experience as he describes it is the most unjaded, real, unrehearsed, humble response ever captured on video. He chose the better activity and thus as we saw in his face he was awed, blown away by it. He divided what he saw into two areas, life protected and beautiful under the canopy of blue, the first heaven, and the outer darkness which he aptly described. Life is living in the presence of the Lord, our maker and preserver. Shatner saw the wonder of God’s creation and how “this is the Lord’s doing and it is marvelous in the our eyes.”
