It doesn't seem like many movies are scored like this anymore, this has that exciting, empowering kind of tone that completely draws you into the adventure. I would say, personally, it's similar to the John Williams scores like ET and Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park. All adventure type movies, when you hear the music you get that pang of nostalgia and you recall the first time you saw it and every other time you saw it and the way it makes you feel every time. I was little when I first saw this movie on TV and I could recall was when the gate opened the first time and I remembered Kurt Russels face and Spaders hair and glasses. I thought I didn't remember much else, and then I bought the movie, sat down the other day to watch it and as the theme played, I remembered seeing it on a saturday afternoon on TV. And like I said, nostalgia hit me and I remembered it all. And I love it.
@alandoril19 жыл бұрын
faceisfunny3 Probably because most composers don't write themes any more, they just fill their scores with loads of "Inception" sounds and rambling nonsense. The idea of creating a proper thematic soundscape for films seems to have gone out of fashion, which is a huge shame.
