This was very helpful. I had a main client for years who found me literally the day I graduated uni, but now that I changed my niche I started to approach clients myself. I've had some success with instagram dm's, with email I'm reluctant cause my domain tends to go to spam quite a lot. The pdf portfolio tip is a great idea though!

Thank you so much for sharing this video! I am very new on this business, but I've taken good photos already to share with my friends and start building up my portfolio. I really need some good advice and I would be totally pleased with your help. I've done portraits, events photography (not weddings yet), boudoir photography, and friends that are selling lingerie clothing, solo, and couples photographs My question is: do I have to always edit all my photos? Or just when I feel the need for a simple adjustment of lighting or balance? I am mentioning this because with Event photos or family photos, they are almost more than 100 photos that look amazing out of the camera, and for me to edit each one will demand a huge amount of time 😔 As I am a beginner, I am going to start charging only for an hour or 2 photo shootings in order to gain more experience and people to know my photos. But this option was without editing as it will be at a very affordable price and delivery of around 50-100 great photos. I really appreciate anyone with their best advice, thanks!

*HOW TO BOOK CLIENTS AS AN AMATEUR PHOTOGRAPHER* STEP 1: Build a portfolio within a niche you want to target. (I literally need clients for that😂)
@LauraBC2 жыл бұрын
You don’t need clients for that at all. 😅 I say it in many of my videos, you just need to get collaborations with new models or friends. I have many videos showing you how to get models to collaborate with and build your portfolio. 😊
@Dewabarasunderan2 жыл бұрын
@@LauraBC In a tfp-model models = clients. For me and many others getting models for a shooting is the hardest part.
@LauraBC2 жыл бұрын
@@Dewabarasunderan Clients are called to those who book you and pay you. That’s the meaning of the word client. Collaborations are a completely different thing. What do you find hard exactly? They’re websites full of models up to work with beginner photographers. And they’re free to sign up as a photographer. As also Instagram. It’s full of new upcoming models or even brands who are willing to collaborate with you to get photos. You can even build portfolio with friends or family. Not sure why you find it hard but please let me know if you want me to link the videos where I explain all of this. Happy to help. 😊
@Dewabarasunderan2 жыл бұрын
@@LauraBC In a TFP-setting both parties can be seen as clients by that definition ☺️ Both are paying with time and work. Either way I don't know any websites that make it easy to find collaborations in Germany. If some come to mind, gladly let me know🙋

It’s Marketing Monday for me and the actionability of this advice is super good. Musing upon how I could use ChatGPT to cook up some of those “brand new emails” a little quicker
@PrecisionSalesStudios6 ай бұрын
Hey @The_CGA! I just worked with a client (albeit in the construction and Real Estate industries) but the methods work the same for anyone. Essentially I would look up Alex Hormozi's cold email templates on youtube and craft short emails similar to those, usually about 3 outreach emails for each prospective client with an intro message, a follow up, and a "what now?" message. Brief and authoritative is the name of the game, i.e. instead of "please reach out when you can" use "we're looking to take on a few more clients while we wrap up some projects." Make those message templates as canned and ready to go, THEN the magic comes from personalizing the first line with something you researched about your ideal client, such as "I noticed you've been working weddings in the area for the past 10 years not too far up the road from us...." The free and cheap way to start getting results is to hook up a spreadsheet with those clients' info to Mail Merge and spend Mondays researching/building your list (I like 100-500/week), then send out your messages Tuesday-Thursday around 10 am (typically good times for getting people's attention) then track what messages get the best responses and double down on what works. To avoid triggering as spam, keep the outreach to 15-30 or so (which seems to work well as a daily limit for cold outreach) and try to use an already well established business email account. The real magic comes from using ChatGPT to do some quick research on your client and build your list. So, google the industry and then "@gmail.com" for example or "email" which will spit out a page of search results you can copy and paste into ChatGPT, asking it to build a list of all the prospects and their emails for you to paste into your spreadsheet. This has saved me hours of work each week. Then you can use the same method to paste all the text from a prospects website or page into ChatGPT and ask it to write an intro/opener line for your message. I think the best thing you can do is batch your work, play around with AI prompts and save the ones that work for writing and researching your list, and lastly ensuring that you're using AI/automation to augment but not replace your unique voice and personality. I used these methods and was able to get some pretty cool and quick results for that client in the commercial construction/RE space, which is notorious for being network driven as opposed to mass marketing. If you're looking to really up your game you can implement some cool automations with make.com and ChatGPT to almost completely automate this work, leaving only the only work for you to read through and approve messages that an "AI assistant" drafted for you every morning/week. Also, it's wayyyy cheaper than subscribing to most CRMs and automation sites (such as Zapier). Hope this helps! Also, apologies if I covered things you're already well aware of. It took about 6 months of trial and error before achieving some of these results and realizing there are definitely cheaper, easier ways to do marketing and networking. I definitely want to cut that learning curve for others when I can!
