Amazing transformation! Woohoo! I love it! My dad transformed a short school bus, a regular-size school bus, and a Greyhound bus into motorhomes for the fam in the 60s & 70s. He drove us around the U.S. in his homemade rigs, and I had a blast. Have fun!

Mav, Thank you for letting this old guy live vicariously through your adventures, Wife and I had a plan that would have led us to being able to travel, was gonna do 20 years in service, then I got hurt, so then plan was to come out put a couple more years work in to achieve our dream..but a few months out i had a widow maker heart attack so now the plan is to just keep moving forward and paying the bills, but makes it a lot better getting to see these videos , love it

Back in 1969, as a 5 year old kid, I watched the Apollo moon landing from an airstream very similar to this (sans the Torando 😂). My dad pulled it with a candy apple red 1960 Cadillac convertible with huge fins. What a great build Mav ! You updated this unique vehicle while still paying homage to its past.

You might think about replacing your shocks, struts, leaf springs and other suspension parts for a safer ride on the road. Check your brakes, Change rear differntial fluid, Tranny fluid & filter...along with ''What ever the engine needs''.... Cool score...Looks great, have fun making it road worthy

I would suggest adding a Holly Sniper (Fuel Injection) to the engine for better overall running. Collins Brothers Jeep adds those to older Jeeps they restore for drivability. Cool Project.

Turned out great! As a 1960s Airstream owner, I recommend putting some kind of padding over the top of the inside of the door. It will literally save you a lot of headaches when you forget to duck going out. I speak from experience! Love the restomod!
