Rey establishes the REAL *New Jedi Order* and continuation of the Jedi in the Galaxy; where Luke could not. A new "threat" emerges and Rey *Trains* her new Jedi, and they all defeat the threat, Rey is the new "Grand Master" or just comes up with some radical new philosophy, where maybe they don't even become known as "Jedi" anymore but she calls all her force sensitives - "Skywalkers." EVERYONE'S a SKYWALKER now lol! Come on, how many starwars fans would go for something like that really!? I reckon KK keeps turning down Steven Knight's scripts because she wants him for his obvious Talent, but she wants Knight to be like Mangold & Rian, another Director who will do things EXACTLY how SHE wants; and Steven Knight is most likely writing Rey to be "Flawed" like she should be, especially by now.

In an age where it's common and even encouraged for actors to shit on the fans, Daisy hasn't done that. I don't think she's a spectacular actor, but she's perfectly fine. Honestly, not a single one of the main 4 have ever said anything that bothers me. Fortunately, I haven't heard any stories about psychos pestering them like they pestered Jake Lloyd or Wil Wheaton. And they walked out of it all with a big fat check and some name recognition. So even if they're disappointed with the script and how things turned out, they seem to have made it out okay, so I'm happy for them there.

Because that's a lot of expensive CGI using expensive computers that takes months to make while paying teams of designers to do. They do shows like mandalorian because the sets are either minimalistic or greenscreened, the costumes for alot of the characters are generic brand verisons of what they should be, the full CGI action sequences are kept brief, and they don't have pedro pascal actually under the helmet during 90%+ of the shooting but still benefit from his name on the project. What you're describing is a passion project for lore lovers, without any of the budgetary gimmicks the executives like to see.

If I had to guess why there's such a high turnover rate with Disney shows being cancelled before ever being made is because some of the showrunners have integrity. When they get the message from Kathleen Kennedy to add the Disney Agenda to their plot, they peace out. Then the show is either in limbo or cancelled completely. Luke and Mara were actually the heart of the original Thrawn trilogy books. A proper Heir to the Empire film adaptation needs them IMO. The trilogy ended with him redeeming her from the Dark Side and the Emperor’s influence, giving her Anakin’s lightsaber and offering to train her as a Jedi, with only a hint that there was potentially more between them.

It’s hilarious how they keep doing the South Park meme. “Put a chick in it and make her lame and gay!” As I said before, it’s not really about representation, for KK it’s about heavy-handed feminist themes and trying to make everyone forget the real Star Wars , and believe she was the genius behind it all along. I heard a rumor that the creator of Andor may take over the franchise, and I hope it’s true. I know you weren’t a huge fan of the series because you thought it lacked some of the spirit of the original movies. You can’t deny that it had great characters and an actually intelligent plot. The characters actually did things that made sense and were consistent. I actually loved how it felt different than any Star Wars show or movie that came before but still respected and fit into the galaxy, and explored aspects of the universe that we never really saw before. I especially liked what we saw of the inner workings of the empire. And here’s the thing- Andor had a ton of “representation”. Racial/ethnic diversity, tons of strong women, even a gay couple. It never made any of that the central point of the story though, because they had an actual interesting story to tell.

all those rumors are basically just people throwing it into orbit and wishing it was that way, they never hold any real truth, more so, KK probably would have to be removed by force at this point, she's never gonna give it up willingly and George was stupid enough to give her his backing because she can say "well, George said I should be in charge" but what her "in charge" amounts to is basically adopting a child and forcefully have it undergo transgender operations while all the people really caring about it having a mental breakdown over it and you're just standing there saying "well I was in charge to care for this kid" yeah Kathleen, not like that, not like fkin that....

Not only is the delay good to make a better movie...with Daisy recently revealing her Grave's Disease diagnosis it'll give her more time to figure out her health. My wife has Grave's and it's very difficult to manage. She's gotta get with the right doctors and protocol to maintain and only then should she work. Don't sacrifice health for a paycheck

With Indy 5 and the Willow series bombing, Episode 10 would be DOA (maybe break even if Disney is lucky). With SW Toys/Merchandise failing to sell and a declining audience, I think Disney should just go ahead and sell off the franchise. They would get their money back (maybe), which they can use for something else.

I hate to say this guys. But I actually dont like Star Wars anymore. I used to actually enjoy watching my old DVDs of the original films and even a bit of the prequels. But I've almost entirely lost interest in everything that is star wars as they sucked this property dry and took the very characters I like and killed them off in bizarre ways and just completely ruined the whole lore and story that I enjoyed so much. Its going to be very hard for them to pull me back. This is the same feelings I have for Marvel films as well. I do like a lot of them, but I'm not crazy about them anymore. I dont call myself a fan. I dont go to the theaters anymore to watch them either. Disney really knows how to suck the life out of the things they love and really treat them as just products.

With cgi all they really needed was the original casts voices. Imagine how cool it would have been, to see all the characters introduced over the years after ROTJ.

​@@sicor94 It was still not a great movie. It had a few comedic bits sprinkled in, too. The second half of the movie in particular was really long. The actors were okay (Hugh Jackman exceptionally). The mixture of family drama and robot boxing didn't get the depth I would have liked. Despite the high box office of Deadpool & Wolverine, this is the first Deadpool flick which I have left disappointed. The quality of the writing took a downward slide after DP 2. Shawn Levy joining the Lucasfilm Pool of left-over MCU (Jon Watts - Spider Man No way Home; What happened to his SW projected?) directors is the least of their current problems.
