I wish I could find half the cool crap you find Dave! I go in thrift stores, flea markets, and antique shops when I see them but I think Ohio is just more loaded than my area! I really enjoy seeing your finds.

One man’s junk…it never ceases to amaze me what can be found at flea markets, the Goodwill store, thrift shops. I can envision a day when I’m gone, our son is going through the barn and garage, going wtf was dad doing with all this crap? 😂. Probably have it hauled off…😢

Very cool find. I need to start remembering about the flea market near me. I used to go all the time. But I moved away about 25 years ago. And when moved back 15 years later, I've only been a couple times. Thanks for always making me think.

I have several of them old steel skillets hanging out in my shed, I had planned on doing something with them but I hadn't really figured out what yet. I figured one of them was going to go towards making a knife blank. But I have five or six so the removable handle thing is very interesting to me, that being said I do believe all my skillets have a full metal handle but the principal still basically the same I could cut the handle off make another handle out of a stick and put a slot in it and put some holes through it and do the same thing instead of fitting it inside of a tube it would fit on either side of the flat piece. Something to think about anyway

I'm surprised you haven't came out with a "Vintage" line of cookware yet! As into it as you are, you'd think that you'd enjoy making that stuff a "Modern Classic" kind of pots and pans, mixing bowls etc. Like Grandma and Grandpa had. That stuff lasts.
@robertweldon79092 жыл бұрын
That would be nice. I believe what Dave is doing here is to find and recycle old kitchen ware, etc. that you might at a second hand store, or flee market. It take an awful lot of tme and money to produce new stuff, but it's a great idea, maybe you could do it. We would buy it.

I have been looking forward to "Restoring Cold Handle Skillets Part 2." I have several Cold handle skillets where the cooking surface is dented. Several look like they were used to pound with. Would sure like to know the best way to remove the dents and smooth out the cooking surface.
