Exactly. I mentioned that on my channel about the Bears schedule. Crazy. Craziest thing I've seen for a Bears schedule since a couple of years ago where they alternated home and road games every week...no consecutive home or road games.

@ParadiseCity13297 ай бұрын
Eagles vs Giants have been on Week 16 and 18 for a couple years now, so it is annoying. Especially since the Giants have been crap for a few years now, those games wouldn't have any value especially if my Eagles clinch the playoffs prior. They shouldn't put two division rivals games within weeks of each other, let alone the same one twice in three weeks.
@dakotayoung16117 ай бұрын
I could be in a coma for exactly 6 months and I wouldn't miss a single steelers in divisional game. Holy s*it!
@doloj64907 ай бұрын
This at least benefits the Bears to avoid their own division which is tough and the Bears have an easier schedule to get their feet wet first with a new QB. Bonus. Caleb will have a much easier time getting acclimated

I was also fascinated by the Bears playing three in a row at home AND three in a row on the road... Haven't seen that since the 80s.
@quigonkenny7 ай бұрын
In the other direction, the Texans play two in a row at home (wks 4-5) and two in a row on the road (wks 6-7) exactly once each. Every other game outside of weeks 4-7 are road, home, road, home, etc. Jags, too (wks 3-4, 7-8). Seems to me they'd need to work pretty hard to have 15 out of 17 of a team's games be road after home or vice-versa.

As a Steelers fan, I’m not happy about this. Also I don’t like how we have 3 home Primetime games in a row. We literally have 0 home day games between Week 3 & 11 and that makes me mad cuz during the day in October in Pittsburgh the weather is nice for the most part but at night you never know, it could be cooler & by the time Week 11 comes, it’ll be cold most likely like what was the NFL thinking?

@JAce940077 ай бұрын
Tbf all TNF is Amazon Prime, it's been that way for years. And the no home opener isnt the NFLs fault, it's due to the MLB schedule

Those games will air locally in Pittsburgh because of NFL broadcast rules.
@Ragnar0097 ай бұрын
I see your point. But there is a positive to this. Many teams end up totally different from what they were in the first month of the season, to the last month. The Bears and Steelers will be who they are by week 11. We'll know who the better team is when they play.
@tricot64687 ай бұрын
I actually appreciate the schedules bc of that. I’m worried the bears will start the year like they did last year. However I’m confident coach flus will have us improve tremendously as the year progresses

I think what’s worse is that 10 day stretch at the end of December for Pittsburgh. 3 games in 10 days feels like too much.

I think that you used the wrong data points, JG9. I would have said "For each of the past 10 Standard Seasons, (so, excluding 2020, like you did,) What was the latest week that a team played a Divisional game, and what was the third quartile week that a team played a Divisional Game (i.e., 24th & 25th teams)".
@mrmoose66197 ай бұрын
I would schedule that by Week 9 every team has at least 3 in division games, 3 conference games, and 2 non-conference games depending on the bye. At least this way, there's some data on the tiebreakers midway through... Cleveland's schedule makes little sense either... 4 of the first 6 are the NFC East rotation... then Cincy Week 7... only 2 divisional, 3 conference, and 4 of 5 non-conference games before their Week 10 bye...
@marcus8137 ай бұрын
By the time the trade deadline comes up, many of the teams will be different from what they were in September anyway, so I wouldn't make too big of an issue about those data you mentioned. Weird scheduling, yeah, but I don't look at this at someone being screwed over.

As a Bears fan this schedule is aggravating. The division thing alone is frustrating but there are tons of other quirks as well. To be fair the Bears didn’t even get screwed by them having all division games late The NFC North this year had probably the greatest start to a season by a division in nfl history here is the standings Vikings 5-0 Lions 4-1 Bears 4-2 Packers 4-2 Yes all teams are 2 games or more above 500 Which means In a division this good the later division games played it increases the value of games so for the bears and pretty much every division game is gonna be a bloodbath and only 3 oof them are before week 11 Week 4 Vikings beat Packers 31-29 after leading 28-0 at half!!! This week week 7 Vikings vs Lions no 1 vs no 2 barge for first in the north And Packers hosting the lions in week 9 All the other division games in the nfc north are week 11 or later which will be insaine to watch every game will be a bloodbath This is like what everyone thought the arc north would be this year but browns and bengals got off to bad starts so the but hey ravens and bengals had the game of the yea with ravens winning 41-38 in ot with burrow throwing 5 tds no ints and still losing talent is there just results no Browns are miserable can’t score 20 points a game this year every game scored less so the schedule to my Steelers got less hard
