Prince is possibly the most talented musician ever. Regardless of how highly regarded his legacy is it will never be high enough.

Prince was a musical genius who could sing, dance, play many instruments, write and compose his own songs and even songs for other artists. You need to check out Purple Rain and his Super Bowl half time show 2007, he's doing magic with his guitar there.

It was so fun watching your reaction. Any song by Prince is a song you would enjoy. I have seen him in concert 3 times back in the day and his live performance is some of the best you would ever see. I also have seen Micheal Jackson live and if I had a choice to see one or the other, it would be Prince. Oh yeah, one more thing, we are the same age and on 2 occasions, I have seen him in the club. The first time was before his Purple Rain movie and the last time I saw him in person was when owned a club in Los Angeles. I was walking down a back hallway to get to the other side of the dance floor and there he was lip locked with some woman. No, I did not want to disturb them.

More talent than MJ
@270yis72 ай бұрын
Pound for pound, you're right. Don't get me wrong: MJ was a fabulous singer, dancer, and occasional songwriter. Prince was all that, PLUS he was a more consistent songwriter AND an ace instrumentalist (pretty much all instruments; the only other guy in pop music who does that is Paul McCartney, but Prince was probably even better than Paul in that department). Both Michael and Prince were fantastic, though, and I miss them both. the days when they ruled pop and soul were some of the best days in modern music history.

This video is a cool introduction to Prince but I recommend you to check out the full album version of this song, it will blow your mind. Beware of early to mid 80's videos of Prince, they mostly contain the shortened versions of his songs (with the exception of "Aitomatic" due to its raunchy content) because MTV didn't broadcast videos longer than 3min30 (except MJ "Thriller"), so you wouldn't enjoy the song the way Prince intended to. It could be interesting to explore Prince's discography in chronological order, that's why my suggestions are "I'm yours", "Sexy Dancer" 12 inch version, "I wanna be your lover" and "Bambi".

Ok, Steph. If you liked this video by Prince, then hold on to your chair and headphones. Next for you is Terrence Trent Darby and his song WISHING WELL. Followed up by the slower song SIGN YOUR NAME. As for Prince, you'll want to listen to the song 7. It is a rare beautiful gem that goes largely unnoticed. And the longer version if WHEN DOVES CRY. It has more dance moves than the short clip. Keep going and enjoy the music.
