+duckqueak But that's precisely the point. He's poking fun at the people who do that shit. The guy in the restaurant is an actor who regularly appears in Colbert bits-so no, he's not actually being mean to someone in food service-and the punch line that really brings the satire home is that he is easily placated by free chips. It's actually a biting indictment of our "the customer is always right" bullshit that turns people into self-entitled pricks. And I think Stephen is poking fun at himself by portraying himself (ostensibly as "himself" and not his blatantly pompous character) in that way. It's actually pretty insightful, if you think about it.

To all the HATERS in the comments: Yes, there was obviously tomato in the picture, but Stephen said he ordered extra tomato, which means it should be clearly visible in a cross-section of the sandwich in question. However, the order paper that Stephen produces doesn't seem to have "extra tomato" written on it, which should honestly be considered a more grievous offense than "a little mayo" because that means less tomato. On the other hand, even a normal amount of tomato should be reasonably visible in a cross-section of the sandwich, and not the tiny, shriveled excuse of a serving of tomato on display here. All things considered, I'm absolutely on Stephen's side in this case. A BLT with extra tomato should have more T than either B or L. A BLT without extra tomato should have an amount of T equal to that of B and L. If T
