If I were OP, I would have had them served with an eviction notice immediately after the funeral with the minimum time required by law. I wouldn’t give them the option of paying rent.
@Katiekatie9489 күн бұрын
The problem with that approach is that the law see them as tenants..whether or not they ever paid rent. So, without a lease, most states will consider it tenant at will..in other words, all he would have to do is send them a letter stating they must be out at the end of the next full rental period (one month). Only when they fail it leave can he then go to court to get an eviction. A simple notice of termination is not an eviction

Is funny how you can tell how the very start might be genuine, then it all becomes AI stuff. Specially at how the "OP" starts adding stuff like "I sighed" or "my jaw clenched" and such reactions that are pure creative style writing instead if a redding post, as things were happening right as we read them. Also AI just doesn't understand how law works, specially how insanely slow such a lawsuit would be. Every time there's a depiction of a lawsuit in an AI story it happens like in a TV show.
@MelaninCosplayАй бұрын
All in all, it was a neat little story of revenge. I just wish the person who came up with it wrote something like how the Son was rich and had a really high paying job, with savings. He gave the Dad his own debit card from his (the Son’s) account or savings so, Sandy and the daughters had been using the money all along, thus thinking they were gonna get the money too, along with the house, after the Dad died. Would’ve been a nice extra slap in the face.

The woman I loved with all my heart chose to walk away, leaving me grappling with an insurmountable sense of loss. Despite my attempts to move on, I'm drawn to express my deep-seated longing for her here

This story sounds so BS and mysoginistic. OP's father married that woman while knowing that he was dying and he didn't make it clear for her that he didn't own the house he was living in. OP's father deceived his wife. OP's father left those problems for his son to solve. OP's father wasn't an angel he described him to be. And why didn't he take his father away to take care of him, but left him with such "bad" wife? Because she took care of his dying father for free. So, he isn't a good person as well. So, she was a gold digger while OP and OP's father were scammers.
