Recent college graduate here. Young adult. Stevie Ray Vaughan fan. God how I wish I had a time machine. It's almost depressing how downhill mainstream music has gone. This concert was a Spring Break event, the audience being comprised of mostly college students. Think about that and compare it with the environment and touring artists you'd likely encounter at any major Spring Break attraction today. Compare the positivity, musicianship, and integrity here with what's commonplace among college age events today. No vulgar, mindless lyrics relentlessly spewed to interrupted dance rhythms. There's no violence here, just positive vibes and good times while imbibing to some of Stevie's best.

@@guitarhero2022 You still do, you're just not self aware enough to understand that. But Christ is no fairytale, He was a real man born about 4 BC, lived a sinless life as God incarnate, willingly became the sacrifice for our sins, and now all who put their trust in Jesus as their savior will be given the righteousness of Him in the eyes of God, therefore being washed clean of our transgressions against God and allowed into Heaven when we die. I tell you what though, if this is a fairytale, those first century "peasants," as you folks like to call them, were the greatest creative writers this world has ever seen. You must at least give them credit for that if you're going to be an ignorant sob and say it's a fairytale xD

applause please I was at Alpine Valley when the helicopter crashed, sorry to say I wish it was Clapton that took the seat, he stole most of his music from the Delta, never paid those old brothers a cent, greedy fucker, are you aware of how many famous artists that took licks from the Delta went back, and gave those old musicians, cash money hung around and jammed with them secretly, without blowing their horns about it? Clapton just stole their shit and laughed as he flew over Louisiana and Mississippi he's a good guitarist but he's a shitty parent and a greedy Brit, you know if I had a child and it fell out of a window of my condo I would still be in jail for child neglect, he didn't receive anything but sympathy for being an un awear parent, nothing against his guitar style, the guy is talented , so don't repost a bunch of bullshit to me, I play guitar I've done plenty of research I know what I'm talking about Dylan went back to the Delta unannounced and spread all kinds of cash around, because he got a lot of his ideas from Delta blues, I wouldn't pay a dime for a Clapton CD, he's got everything he needs and more, and takes credit for everything, half of his music is stolen from people that have to hunt their food are go fishing every day for supper, been there done that

Stop for a moment and think. Can you imagine all that he could have accomplished in the 24 years since his death? The man was only in the mainstream for about 6-8 years. He was only sober for about 2 of those. That helicopter crash did not have to happen. It should have never happened. A little bit of bad weather and an unqualified pilot came together in the worst possible way. I recently read for the first time about that pilot's background. He briefly had his license suspended once before. That is bad enough by itself but is nothing compared to the fact that he did not have an instrument rating on his pilot's license. You may already know what that is but for anyone who doesn't know it is training that teaches you to fly without any visual cues or visual aid of any kind. They put a big cone shaped visor on you which looks alot like those huge cone shaped collars they put on dogs to keep them from bothering a wound of some kind. The purpose of it is that it keeps the pilot from being able to look or see anything anywhere but down at the instruments. You are then required to fly using NOTHING but what your instruments tell you. If you don't have that rating then it is illegal for you to fly during bad weather or low visibility. Please correct me if I am wrong but I don't think you are even allowed to fly at night either. That pilot basically did EVERYTHING that he wasn't allowed to be doing that fateful night. However, like I said... I could be wrong about some of this. I am only quoting what I have read in news articles from back just after it happened. Anyway... I am sorry for ranting. It just shows how someone else's irresponsible choices can have a severe impact on innocent people who just happened to be nearby. This helicopter crash didn't have to happen. It should not have happened and could probably have been avoided pretty easily. I started playing guitar sometime around 1995 when I was 14 years old. It was Stevie Ray Vaughan who first inspired me to play guitar. He had already been dead five years. I sure do wish he was still here with us.
