I'm glad Steve pointed out that being rigid when you're learning to play guitar is not a good thing. I'm a retired School psychologist. You want to talk about dealing with rigidity? I lived it. LaMont, Milwaukee Wisconsin. Great lesson.

Thanks for taking the time to expand those six notes. I've been practicing them quite a bit and looking forward to expanding them. Like you said, the picking is always tricky. It's a balance between what works for you and trying to sound good.

Hey Steve, Great teaching! When it comes to the slide, for me it seems easier to use my ring finger into the next position then my fingers are aligned for the next pattern! But it’s good to practice both! Thank You for All you do!

I remembered the first 7, 5, 4, slide to 9, 8, 7. Then the second and third version with the add-ons. I transcribed all three versions and I can't wait to try them out on my electric. Now, at the very end, (just before the video ends), Steve snuck in some higher notes above the 7 and 10. Great lesson, but he's starting to get a little sneaky at the very end. Hahaha.

Funny enough how following the trend even in guitar is sometimes unhealthy. Love not only the lesson but also the wisdom Steve on “play what works for you”.
