Nitrous works GREAT as long as it's used correctly. Can't believe you've never run it before. Cool part that everybody forgets is that 100 hp shot also adds about 150 ft lbs of torque instantly
@Neomustangs4 жыл бұрын
Well we ran it but mike ran it in my blk coupe. Never drove it. Was an auto.

Oh yeah nitrous makes big torque, lots of fun. 😁👍🏻

Exact same kit I had back in 1998. It was my very first nitrous kit I owned and installed on my '91 hatch. Car was stock bottom end, had gt40 upper/lower, edelbrock heads, b303 cam, 24 lb. injectors, 70 mm tb, pro-m mass air, 3.73's, t-5. It ran 11.20's way back in '98. Man, I miss them days. Oh by the way, you can jet that kit to 175 h.p. I know "nos" only recommends that particular kit is good up to 150 h.p., but trust me it will flow more.

Ran this kit back in the late 80s. NOS 05115. Worked great! Then bought it again a few years ago for a single call out against an SRT Jeep and ran a 175hp shot (Upgraded shims for the solenoids) on the 19lb injectors and stock 5.0 AOD & 3.73 gears. At mile high strip decreased ET 2.25 seconds and 18mph through the traps. Of course I hit it at 2k rpm but with 6' timing, 91 octane with octane booster and this kit increasing FP......never an issue....... Back in the early 90s I ran nitrous with a poweradder, I used a 40hp wet shot on a VW 1.7L Rabbit with a T4 turbo at 10psi.......worked well and actually added more HP than the rated jets....and fixed the nasty turbo lag.....LOL!! Looks like a possibility of some exciting videos coming our way....

We turboed a 91,92,or 93 Taurus sho back in late 90s the only thing I remember about that car was changing the shifter and linkage from my memory they were definitely a pos set up for the shifter we machined a bronze bushing for it and installed factory new linkage and shift tower it was a pain in the ass once we got the fueling sorted that car was evil

Nitrous has alot of upside. The kits don't change. Can't say the same for turbo or supercharger kits. Either companies have gone out of business or kits get discontinued. Nitrous is my preferred power adder.

I love spray. Been an addict for a decade now. Never forget my first ride in a spray car. Immediately bought a kit when I got back from the ride. Mine is a carbed 331 with a 125 9n a plate. Does the computer sense the lean condition and add fuel to the injectors automatically with a dry efi kit? No programming?
@Neomustangs4 жыл бұрын
No tune. Just the vac from kit
@hayaboosta4 жыл бұрын
Yea it uses the restriction of vacuum to the FPR to increase the FP to at least 80psi.

What’s up dan the man.. I forgot did you ever run your dads car in the 1/4 with nos? I’m in the process of getting my motor rebuilt had to be bored to a 306. Old crank was shot so basically all new stuff to make it right and getting. A 3 angle valve job on my gt40’s and he’s rounding the inside where it meets the piston.. as you know it has a ridge he’s shaving it down to make it a another way to breath/exhale.. getting 1.6 adjustable roller rockers keeping the B cam💪🏼. Along with new injectors and fuel pressure regulator.. should be quiet spicy.. he told me it should be I’ve. 300hp to the crank..can’t wait to get it all Together and take it down the track... with a 100 shot I hope to be a coyote killa.... I know it’s a Ford Mustang but I like to be the underdog and make them think their going to smoke me and show them that old tech is still the shit...

@@NeomustangsVery well engineered Kits....These kits were VERY popular and user friendly, vastly improving mixture, and just plain work.....literally.bolts to the car with no other modifications needed (bigger fuel pump-colder plugs maybe) as it's a wet kit that "plumes" the mixture of Fuel and Nitrous below the plenum-- WAY closer to the valves, and bypasses all the 90° bends that cause those embarrassing Nitrous backfires that blow off your hood--common among the cheaper single nozzle kits that are known for forming puddles of fuel in the plenum...It doesn't require high fuel pressures or huge injectors to send Fuel separately like the dry kit..... Having said that.....the NOS 5115 is easily bolted on and is a proven, durable, and idiot proof design with multiple safety features... I didn't need to retard the timing at all at for the fixed 80 HP shot. You will love the plate kit...
