+LordryuRevived Man, you think you can escape WWE by watching a video of two people sitting in a car talking about an Adam Sandler movie. Nope. Also in your profile picture do WWE bring back the World Heavyweight title specifically for Cesaro?
@dennett3168 жыл бұрын
+cameron Swingle I think that's from a photo shoot that a bunch of wrestlers did posing with titles that they liked and would've wanted to hold. Paige posed with the old Women's Title, for example.

Paul Dennett Actually, I think it's a photoshopped picture where I got this image from. A bigger version of the image shows that Cesaro here is holding Mark Henry's World Heavyweight Championship.

Brad doesn't seem to understand why those Native American actors walked off the set, but he hit on it exactly with his own words "It's just the kind of thing you've seen a million times before." Native Americans see that kind of thing over and over and over. Imagine how much that sucks.
@murrfeeling8 жыл бұрын
+Gena Trius I think that some of it is just not wanting to be in The Ridiculous 6. a man's gotta think about his resume. Would you really want to see The Ridiculous 6 on your IMDB page, like a low grade sex crime on your job application? Not for scale and an extra's credit. Also, it means you have to spend a day on the same set with Adam Sandler and his Happy Madison cronies while they try to be spontaneously funny and plan out their next terrible project? These are not easy conditions to work with.
@uselessDM8 жыл бұрын
+murrfeeling I don't think being attached to an Adam Sandler vehicle is necessarily bad for an actor, at least in a monetary way. Because for as panned as these movies get, they have a rather big audience, so I guess studios would cast some of his "friends" if they are looking into making a film for the same audience. And overall, if you are going to be in an Adam Sandler film you either have no other choice or don't care anyway.
@TypeOLuigi4208 жыл бұрын
+Gena Trius I know I'm the minority when I say this, but I'm Native and racial stereotypes don't really affect me. But I've got thick skin and always tell PC people to go fuck themselves, so yeah, I don't care. Not bashing anyone who does though.

I recently had a small Sandler marathon as a personal study of "The regression of Sandler movies that i halfway enjoy". Ive concluded that: "Happy Gilmore" holds up. "Big Daddy" is still very heartwarming. "Click" is mostly terrible but goddamn there is a really great dramatic movie hidden in the last third of that film. "Little Nicky" could benefit from a few script re-writes and a different lead actor, but otherwise i think it has a decent concept. "50 First Dates" is solid, even though it becomes a psych thriller in the last 5 minutes. "Funny People" is pretty great, and again, Sandler does great with his dramatic role. "That's My Boy"... yeah it's lost any appeal it once had for me. I think the quality started dropping around "Little NIcky", but took a steep downhill dive after "Click", with the occasional good film. I will give "Click" this though, Christopher Walken as the Angel of Death just feels so right. I swear, when I die, i want Death to be Christopher Walken.
@OzFanJames19006 жыл бұрын
"Click" is a shitty ripoff of a Goosebumps short story with *the exact same title.* "Funny People" isn't funny. It should have been called "Unfunny Stereotypical White People Doing Unfunny Stereotypical White People Things".

I watched this last night too on Netflix (my girlfriend loves Adam Sandler movies [shrugs]). All I could think of was I could be watching Three Amigos right now. I hated this movie from the beginning. Adam Sandler with zero acting and super powers. Him playing yet another super hero power fantasy, Gary Stu. Then the donkey was playing Bad Grandpa. From there its a get the six together montage and a couple of climax scenes before a resolution. The biggest surprise in this whole movie was Vanilla Ice in the gambling scene though. Him raising his hands and basically saying that's my jam to some old time piano music playing by Terry Crews actually got a laugh out of me. Then we watched Mystery Men which hasn't aged well. At least some Archers to end the night on a high note.

Now here is what really pisses me off about Netflix, at least the gimped version Poland got. It is supposed to be a replacement for dvd rental, a place to watch films on, right? Well no, good movies are either not available, or to make matters worse they were available, but aren't anymore, they were taken off the website. For example, I found Django Unchained on it, Gone with the Wind, the Disney live-action Jungle Book and Beauty and the Beast. All of those not available anymore. But you know what is available? Ridiculous 6! Green Lantern! After Earth! Oh boy, my Netflix subscription was worth every fucking penny! Shitty movies, a flood of bland tv series and a few recent releases I saw at the cinema already. I guess there also are some really random obscure stuff like a live-action Full Metal Alchemist (40% on RT) or Death Note (same rating). Where the hell did that come from. It's torrents or nothing here.

on the star wars mary sue thing. I'll preference this by saying I don't if I fully agree with it, but I kinda do. I haven't seen ridiculous 6, but a mary sue/gary stu doesn't have to be THAT obvious. I mean yeah, it sounds like a mary sue. Which makes a lot of sense since saddler wrote it and that's usually the deal with a mary sue, fanfic writing where the writer imagines himself/herself as the ultimate hero. In the case of star wars, it's not that bad, but I still feel the mary sue thing was there to a extent, intentional or not, and it was kinda annoying. In the end, that's not really my issue with her, I just didn't care for that much as the main character. It felt like finn should have been the main character and her supporting, simply because I liked him a lot more, but it's not the case and their interactions in any event didn't do much for me. I actually like finn's and poe dameron's bit's a lot more, but not much of that in the movie. I think part of it may have been her acting, but whatever. She wasn't the worst character ever in the history of the franchise or something, but compared to luke from a new hope as the main character, she comes up short. Mostly because I think mark hamil is a better actor, and in that movie it was also I think the interactions between luke and obi-won, han, leia etc. worked a lot better. Despite him being a "annoying teenager" when he started, even by the end of the movie, he grown quite a bit and that only continued in the sequels. I'm far less interested in seeing more of rey(bad first impression) and a lot more interested in seeing finn, but she's the main character as the end of TFA made very clear. But whatever, fuck it. Young girls need their hero I guess, and I found catniss annoying the first hunger games movie for similar reasons to rey, so I guess TFA was not targeted at me anyway. I found the fan restorations of the orginal trilogy recently so I could care less about the new movies anyway. But if episode VIII is empire strikes back 2.0 like TFA was a new hope 2.0, then I can hope to see a lot more finn like han in empire.

Three Amigos made me ok with a random musical number in the middle of a comical western movie, though I do agree it depends on the type of musical scene it is perhaps. But the turtle told Ned goodnight, and there was an invisible swordsman, so all this ridiculous stuff never bothers me. It doesn't mean the movies are good, yeah .. not at all unfortunately... it's just a nag of mine when they just go, " Oh a random music scene, why? " Or " There is silly stuff in this comedy, to establish it can be cartoon silly," when I know so many movies that they consider great that does the same thing.

My girlfriend got me to watch this with her because she watched it at a friend's house while she was drunk and high and she liked it... then she liked it again TnT I tried really hard to not be a jerk about how much I didn't enjoy it, but at least I can say I gave it a fair shake. I've listened to critics jerk off over how shitty Adam Sandler movies are, but I hadn't actually seen one since I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry. Really, my reaction was the same as yours; I wasn't offended by anything but how unfunny it is, and I was trying to find something positive about it. The star-studded cast was fun to watch while they tried to make this material work. Terry Crews playing a saloon piano was adorable. That was about it.
