That’s at least four movies before we’re even halfway through the year that Brad said he hated that are definitely making his Worst list: The 15:17 to Paris, A Wrinkle in Time, Super Troopers 2 and of course, Life of the Party.

You can blame Richard Curtis for the whole "famous person is coming lie turns out to be true" gag only when he invented it for Vicar of Dibley it was actually funny because he shook it up each time. Elton John didn't turn up to the village fete but Kylie Minoge turns up instead, Sean Bean objects when Geraldine nearly gets married to David in a fever dream sequence, some model that Geraldine was drooling over when talking girly with Alice turns up at the vicarage and is spotted in her underwear making the village suddenly think they have a gay vicar. They kept it fresh for almost 2 decades but I think they've used all the good ones.

Melissa needs better writing to work. Beyond that, modern comedy BADLY needs to learn to have tighter editing. It's the biggest problem plaguing modern comedy, scenes that don't end, and jokes that add nothing.

I saw Deadpool tonight and saw the worst trailer I have seen in a long time, starring Melissa McCarthy and lots of puppet sex jokes. The trailer was so ridiculous i thought maybe it was a joke trailer in front of Deadpool. Sadly appears to be real. The movie is titled The Happytime Murders and I feel bad for who has to sit through it, or that's my impression from the trailer anyways.
