The original concept made it sound like it was going to dark neo-noir comedy with puppets. I feel this isn't Brian Henson original vision of the flim. I feel the only way he could make this film is if he made it a straight-up sex comedy. This is a step back on having people respect Puppetry as an artform, not just kid stuff

Cable isn't from an alternate universe, unless they changed that. He's the son of Cyclops and Madeline Pryor (The clone of Jean Grey), but as a baby he was infected with a virus that slowly converted him into a machine (hence the mechanical arm). Unable to do anything about his son's condition, Cyclops was forced to send Nathan (Cable) into the far future where there would be treatment, but it was a one-way trip. In my opinion, Cable has perhaps one of the most convoluted backstories in the entire Marvel Canon.
@Logan9126 жыл бұрын
Granted, that was from a time when X-Men in general was getting very convoluted, and there were several mutant-based teams.
@drakkenmensch6 жыл бұрын
We see Cable in one scene of the movie looking in the mirror, touching the mechanical parts on his neck as if gauging the advance of a rash. This moment is most likely Cable checking to see if the virus has progressed along his remaining flesh.

Little1Cave same here I was very impressed that they managed to pull off that dynamic where infinity war even couldn’t do that (not to undermine that just really surprised about that) not to say this doesn’t have its flaws it pulls the “lazy writing” a bit too much and if they do it again it’s gonna start getting old he’s supposed to comment on the writing style not use that as the excuse like the comment about how Liefeld can’t draw feel is perfect and the talk about the dispute between Ryan and Tim miller I think is that he had this idea about almost fully going into cables backstory (hence what appears to be a few seconds of what seems to be a classic x-men over budgeted scene, but in reality the remnants. And they already said they were going to go into that wether in the official x-force movie or in another deadpool sequel) but ultimately I think Ryan played the smart move on this playing the Spider-Man role of your friendly Canadian merc with a mouth and isn’t that truly fitting when you know he’s a huge fan of Spider-Man

I personally like the first Deadpool and Guardians more. To me, the sequels fall prey to the usual comedy sequel thing of flanderizing characters and upping *only* the things most of the audience liked about the first movie while the rest of the movie just falls flat. The main thing about DP2 is that it goes a little too metahumor even for Deadpool imo. There are times when it seems like every other line is a reference to the MCU like they couldn't think of any other joke, and it got old pretty early. Granted, all four of the movies mentioned are great, and neither sequel is nearly as bad is most comedy sequels tend to be when it comes to that stuff. You could really pick any of them and have a good time. Also, I'm so glad DP2 got Juggernaut right.

My first concert was Queen! Billy Squire was the opening act! I'm not joking! It was in Kansas City at the …. Kemper Arena? We were just kids (late elementary school aka Junior high aka middle school?) My parents took us on a drive and SURPRISE we ended up at the concert! It was SO LOUD! And Billy Squire was OK but … and so much pot smoke SO . MUCH . SMOKE I was a kid and I guessed that was what it was. Because I knew it was called grass and it smelled a lot like grass burning. Blech. :D Anyways that is why I just wanted to go home after BS … oh sorry, should I not have used his initials? :D There was like that ONE song, and then just … meh, you don't suck, but you aren't really doing anything special. They opened with FLASH GORDON!!! OHHHMYYYYYGAWWWWDDDD it was AMAZING! See, it started with that long opening heartbeat cord. It went on forever. You knew what it was. Then it would play a little bit of guitar! Only a few spotlights showed up. The anticipation building was INSANE! Then as the song played it had toy Flash Gordon space ships go up and down poles with sparks and lights and the y spun around, it was THE GREATEST THING EVER because, OHMYGAD if you are opening up with this, then oh boy! I don't retain too many other memories of that night, but enough to keep me happy when times get tough. I SAW QUEEN LIVE IN CONCERT! And OMG the internet is amazing because this exists: www.concertarchives.org/concerts/queen-billy-squier--2

I'm just going to say this, I absolutely HATE the change they made in the DVD Super Duper Cut at the end, where Wade finally gets to be with 'Nessa and they're playing the most beautiful and heartbreaking acoustic version of "Take On Me", and switched it to a soft, ballad version of "Ashes". Don't get me wrong, "Ashes" is a fantastic song and I hope it's nominated for an Oscar, but that version of "Take On Me" was absolutely PERFECT for that scene and I was unbelievably pissed when they changed it.

I didn't say whether it was bad or good. It might be amazing. I was just surprised it having the same conceit as Night Nurse and the fact the lead has the same name as the creator of that. If it was an adaptation I get that as a homage, but it seems a bit taking the piss if it's an unofficial adaptation (since Marvel are already using Night Nurse characters in their live action properties). Mainly curious to see if anyone else thought this.

Did anyone else feel this film was racist? **SPOILERS** I mean when Bedlam died first out of the X-Force, it carried on the unfortunate “Black Guy Dies First” tradition we thought me moved from. Not to mention Dopinder being an Indian stereotype worthy of Apu.

Video length says "mediocre, too good for long ramblings of anger, too short for "not wanna spoil, bye"". Now to see if the video length spoke the truth.

True but that's mostly since the talk about the movie only makes half the video length.

When Deadpool has TWO whole films that are more sincere than Thor Ragnarok, something is wrong.

Tyler E I didn't think Ragnarok was that bad, but it's not one of my favorite MCU movies either.

I thought Ragnarok was one of the better MCU movies.

I thought Ragnarok hugely improved upon a second watch. Understanding the tone the movie was going for made the movie connect a lot better for me than it did the first time.

Mr. Snrub Well, I'm glad it did for you. I hated it even more a second time.
