Is good grade silicone better than LGFB? Debating on straw bottles for my one year old for daycare. I love that Planet Box has a stainless steel straw but not sure if that is better over the Pura bottles. This stuff is so hard! Daycare does not like glass now that he is older

I was looking into a straw sippy cup for my one year old. Life Factory, Elk & Frienda and Pura seem like good options but what about the silicone and plastic in those? It seems impossible!
@dryvonneburkart6 ай бұрын
The optimal choice is an open glass cup but that doesn’t always work for babies and young children. Do your best
@sarahmck7876 ай бұрын
Thank you@@dryvonneburkart ! Curious - I ended up buying the Pura Kika straw cup bc it has food grade silicone and stainless steel is less likely to break. I did a ton of searching and it looks like lead was found in these bottles a few years ago, but the problem seems to have been resolved. Do you happen to have any insight on this? The straw/ sippy cup research has been a WHOLE thing in my house!

Do you know how to make a child car seat less toxic from the flame retardants? Is it important to air it out and wash it before use
@dryvonneburkart Жыл бұрын
I haven’t seen any peer-reviewed scientific studies on this. I allow newly purchased items to off-gas outside for a day or two if there’s an odor. I have no idea of knowing if this will get rid of flame retardants since the fabrics are treated with it during production. The best way to avoid them is buying a flame retardant free seat, but I realize that’s not feasible for everyone. I don’t know if this will remove them, but washing the cover can’t hurt imo.

Is there any difference between Molly's Suds unscented detergent versus their baby detergent?
@dryvonneburkart11 ай бұрын
I did a side by side comparison and the Unscented Baby Detergent contains enzymes. I believe they help to break up stains. This is a great question for Molly's Suds to answer 🙌🏽
@laurenj974911 ай бұрын
@@dryvonneburkart Thank you so much! I will definitely reach out to Molly's Suds directly as well.
@laurenj974911 ай бұрын
Response from Molly's Suds for anyone else interested: Our Original Laundry Powder is our simplest formulation, with only four earth- and plant-derived ingredients (plus essential oils for fragrance). Our Baby Laundry Powder utilizes this same safe, simple formulation, and adds three naturally-occurring enzymes that are specifically targeted for baby poop (proteins), formula (mannans) and spit-up (fats). Both are safe for babies and all family members, however the enzymes in the Baby Laundry Powder give it an added cleaning boost for baby stains!

Sadly, most are treated with flame retardants. The only way to know if they’re not is if there’s a yellow tag that says the PJs are untreated.

Hello! I am from Canada. Do you know about attitude baby wipes?
@dryvonneburkart11 ай бұрын
Great question! Based on what I see on their website, the wipes material and ingredients aren't of major concern. However, I have used other wipes with chamomile extract and the scent was noticeable. I don't think this ingredient is necessary in a baby wipe and I think they should all be unscented, fragrance, and essential oil free ideally.

Hi there would you trust the ecoriginal brand even though they manufacture everything in china ? My concern would be that as much as clean and transparent they might seem we all know about china…. I’m worried about that part , I want to switch my baby to bamboo products but makes me wonder if that would be a smart choice or not, I would really love your opinion , thank you so much in advance 🫶🏻

I've seen the contaminant test reports for Ecoriginals diapers and they're clean, which is why they received the top spot.
