Why would the world reject you? Everyone in this world has a place. That nonsense about repeating stuff about the dishes seems so forced/fake. Like if you're in a loving couple - you would discuss that you'd like your partner to do the dishes that day and they would note this, understand and do the action necessary. So many people talk on youtube making out that they're some guru on things.
@UniversalDust
@UniversalDust 4 жыл бұрын
@@heatherking3391 Of course you'd understand the dishes scenario because as women we get it, we know how to empathize. However, if you noticed even Mr. Bilyeu had to ask her to say it again so he could repeat it back to her. In real life people think they understood what their partner meant but the actual act of repeating back her exact words let's it sink in and helps one see things from the others perspective. You must be blessed with a very understanding partner because most men I know say that they're not mindreaders when it comes to how women FEEL. Even if Ms. Forleo was reciting something she learned from someone else's book, I also learned new ideas that I can incorporate in my own life... I don't label her a guru but guru or not the message is powerful and spoke to me. So for you it didn't... let's just agree to disagree shall we?
@heatherking3391

@@UniversalDust Well that's very much stereotyping men and women and in the world of 2020 both men and women can be just as empathetic. Her content is ok for those that are in the middle of being a young girl and turning into a woman but as someone who says they are a life coach and from her level of experience therefore wrongly titling herself as one of these - she is not someone to follow or has any powerful messaging in this area. I am seeing it as it is.

@@saskiademoor8400 Exactly true. I hear so many people say this because this damaging belief has been drilled into people word wide from day one and then later on popular speakers such as Eckhart Tolle come in and bring it to us yet again with different words and reinforce it some more. It is basically what the corporate agenda wants us to believe because with that they can control us and keep the belief going that only if you are successful according to society's standards you made it. My question to society is why do we have to Make it at all? Why not love ourselves the way we already are? Mindfulness meditation watching one's own body and allowing it to function they way it wants to in any moment brings us back to groundedness.

Wow, this episode was absolutely powerful. I love hearing Marie's perspective about masculine and feminine energy because it's something I strive to bring balance in daily, especially since my girl leans towards feminine energy. The more driven and curious I've become about wanting to succeed, I've noticed I'm less playful than I used to be. My girl does an amazing job of reminding me to be open and playful rather than closed and serious. This duo of conscious males and females within the next 5-10 years will completely change the course of mankind. Thank you.

It would be great to arrive at a point in a relationship where your significant other is asking the questions and empathizing from a place of genuine care and connection, rather than following the scripts of a certain “dialogue”. Same as an employee, I used to feel patronized when I could tell my boss was interacting with me using techniques from personal development books I had already read. It’s great to have resources, but we have to trust inner guidance and be spontaneous as well.

Solid communication advice at 32:00. It's about romantic relationships, but can help resolve so many conflicts in the workplace as well.
@wholeshebang1
@wholeshebang1 5 жыл бұрын
Yes, it's a technique in conflict resolution, a part of de-escalation, called active listening, in which you listen to the other person's concern(s) without interrupting, other than adding "uh,uh" or nodding one's head to show you're listening, and then paraphrasing what they said back to them. Checking in with them, asking, "Did I get that right?" and "Is there more?" is validating and letting them know and feel you're genuinely concerned, and are acknowledging their feelings. You're not trying to resolve things at this point, but de-escalating the stress, anxiety or anger the person's feeling. Once the emotion has lowered, then you can work towards a solution together.

Thanks Tom!! Such a great content! We were strong because we've been weak. We are fearless because we've been afraid. We are wise because we've been foolish. Don't let negativity bring you down. Stand up for yourself and your dreams! You can do it guys! Maybe you guys might have seen me on other videos but anytime I write a comment, I always tell my story with it so people know why I am saying what I am saying :) - also to keep inspiring other people because for me, reading other people's success journey is so motivating. :) We own a cookie shop business in our college town. When we first started it, we were living in our car with very little direction, just a huge passion to be successful. We just graduated college as well. We started a cookie shop out of a local bagel shop in their off hours at night. We were living in our car in the parking lot of the shop at the time with my boyfriend, Bran. It was a crazy experience but it worked! We became a success! And how we have our first storefront location (a second launching soon!) We started it to fund a year long backpacking trip around the world and to be successful while living the life of our dreams.

OMG Marie, so amazing to hear you talk about all your faults and the fact about knowing it better and building a wall around yourself. I'm soooooo grateful for this statement. I grew up with 4 brothers and a dominant mother and an aggressive, angry and controlling father. I walked through life just using my masculine side as a protective shield not to get hurt and for someone else taking control of me and my life. Even though I always dressed sexy and feminine and having long hair. Mann always find me daring and beautiful but I always blocked any further loving relationships. It made me feel so lonely and miserable. Just after I got the diagnose breast cancer that I faced death and my life started turning around. It's been 3 years now and I just realized through this Video that I completely missed out soooo much in life. But I had to get that sick first. THANK YOU MARIE, FOR CLEARING ANOTHER KNOT IN MY LIFE PATH!!! God bless you GORGEOUS, all the best from Germany xoxo Mari

Thank you for this video! I love you Tom and Marie! Amazing, informing and inspiring! It really hit me on the topic of mortality especially. My mum passed away just over a year ago and I wished I knew more about this then. But after listening, I paused the video and sent a message to my dad reminding him I love him ❤ I came back and listened to the whole video. I love you all and everyone that got to read me comment! 🤗

@Samarth Singh - Marriage isn't necessary. It's an antiquated notion; a social construct based on patriarchal ownership. A ceremony and piece of paper isn't required to validate one's love, commitment and respect towards each other.

Wow I always was a fan of @MarieForleo but this interview made me a super fan and I now want to sign up for B School. She is soooo badass and has the perfect balance of masculinity and femininity. So awesome she truly described how UNglamorous a seemingly glamorous business is. I also love how she decided to created B School as she saw a need in the market, which is what I am trying to do with my Technology Business Basics Workshops. Plus I really love that both of you discussed the topic of having children vs building a business, meaning having both or choosing one now or maybe forever. I think we need more discussions about that as it is a huge issue for not just women but men too.

I totally looove the way Tom conducts his interviews. He is able to allow people to present their best selves all the time and inspire. I always find bits of his interviews in motivational videos and whatever is said by his guest on the video draws me in and without much hesitation view the entire interview. To add to that most of the inspirational leaders I follow on social media is because of their interviews with Tom Bilyeu!!! Continue being Legendary my friend.

I absolutely love Marie's take on business in life. I found her a few months ago and have watched many of her videos, taking the tips and figuring out what works for me. While I don't agree with everything anyone says (who does?), I agree that accepting the shit with the show can help cleanse the spiritual pipes. I'm multi-passionate, too, which pulls me in different directions. What I've learned from practice, if I do the side projects that light me up, I have more passion for marketing and achieving my goals. Writing is my main goal and love, but as a job, it overwhelms me at times. Things are coming together more, though. Success takes time, but each person can decide what success means to them. Success last year was self-publishing my first novel. Success this year is volunteering to speak with a couple of organizations. Next year, success will be self-publishing the second edition of my first novel and the first edition of my second novel. Having fun during the process makes it a lot easier.
