Im allergic to fish oil! So is there another alternative way to get omega 3s?? Thanks for another great video!
@homomorphicАй бұрын
If you have any allergies, you likely have a dysfunctional metabolism. Fix that and your allergies will disappear. Do you eat fructose? If so, if you stop consuming fructose then there is about a 90% probability that all your allergies will disappear. I had asthma my whole life, and when I stopped fructose consumption it disappeared; now I have a VO2 max in the top 10th percentile for my age. Oh, and to answer your question; yes, you can get omega-3s from algae oil supplements. In fact, the omega-3s in fish originated in algae, and fish just concentrate it (supplement makers just concentrate it artificially). It is *expensive* though. The concentration process isn't cheap.

Flax and chia seeds and their oil have ALA which we convert to omega3.
@homomorphicАй бұрын
@cherylcastillo7020 incorrect. The conversation rate is so low as to be entirely irrelevant. As a vegetarian I get *tons* of ALA but even with the supplements I have been taking, my DHA and EPA is still too low (yes I had the proper $130 test not the crappy $50 test). I have upped my supplementation and will test again in April.

What do you think about organic Brazilian Nut ? As good as pumpkin seeds?
@homomorphicАй бұрын
Brazil nuts are great sources of selenium, but you shouldn't eat more than 2 of these nuts per day. I eat a mixture of: Sunflower seeds Pumpkin seeds Pecans Walnuts Pine nuts Macadamia Peanuts Brazil All of rhe above "nuts" (they're not all nuts) are raw unsalted. That mixture will serve as an excellent source of many micronutrients.

Hi, Dr. Liu! Thank you so much for this video. Can you quickly share your perspective on hair loss as it relates to DHT sensitivity? I know things like pumpkin seeds, green tea, lycopene and quercetin are natural DHT blockers, but if you become sensitive to DHT suddenly during menopause, would you assume that's an indication of metabolic dysfunction-- or just the natural aging process?

Can someone tell me how to get my camera to point to the QR CODE?
@tigereye517Ай бұрын
Use 2nd cell phone, to aim the camera onto the QR code of the phone playing the video. Paused the video to focus on the QR code, double click the QR code to focus if you need. When a small link in yellow pops up in the lower portion of camera screen, click the link to get to her website.

You mentioned low gastric acid for 50 year olds, what are some good supplements to help with this?
@MsCValentiner29 күн бұрын
Eat bitter herbs or drink bitter herb teas. It encourages gastric acid production. (I just got this advice from my biopath as it appears I'm low as well).
