I live in the city of San Bernardino and it was snowing here for several hours, it covered the benches, grass, trees, people's cars, it was amazing, for southern California to see snow coming down, I took many photos, because I can't imagine it happening again.

Used to happen all the time from the 60s til the 80s but Calif changed.. and now you rarely see the true Calif I grew up with.. glad I left its a cesspool compared to what it was thru my lifetime..9 yrs ago I left.. what you see there now is a regular day here in Montana in winter.. yall couldn't handle it here.. 8ve seen 30 Calif families come here go thru 1 mild winter and sell out pack up and run back or further south.

Last time that area was under a blizzard watch was 1989, I was 11 and living in Apple Valley, about 1 1/2 hours north of San Bernadino, about 45 mins north of where this reporter is. I remember being amazed that I was seeing snow in the middle of the desert where we got pretty much no rain or precipitation.

I've been watching the live bald eagle cam from Big Bear and it hasn't stopped snowing in the last four days. That's crazy lol. The eagles have been completely buried by snow more than once, and the ferocity of the wind is insane. Incubating eggs is a tough job. :)

Bravo! That's great to hear! They need the snow, and it's still Winter, and annually a lot of big stuff happens around end of Feb to early March. Not only that, all the hyperactivity of the sun in it's current stage is definitely playing a major role. But is anyone covering that (other than a number of astronomers and other specialists)? (Sigh) No, I guess not much. Now if they would later just use the water from the snow melt wisely. But that would be too much to ask, it seems.

How is this going to get you out of a drought when you are going to dump 90% of this into the ocean to protect a bait fish that is invasive to your Rivers? Also you haven't built a dam since 1976 and you're a storage capacity is maxed out. Until you build about 30 dams, you will always be in a state of drought..
