My Keto Weight Loss Journey happened but I didn't talk a lot about it because keto is more than weight loss for me. It's how I got my life back after I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's. I hope you enjoy this little story time video.

I've been keto since January 2019 and had lost 100 pounds by November 2019. No on at work said a word, until I had lost 75 pounds and then somone who sees me every day said "have you lost weight?" When I said yes..she said "I thought so..your face is smaller". So apparently I was carrying 75 pounds in my face. :)

I had the same thing happen. I lost 70+ lbs and no one said anything (other than maybe 2 people). It was a little disheartening. I've gone through a poor me pitty party over the last few months and have gained back nearly all of the weight. Talk about disheartening. Time to get back to keto for me and not giving a hoot what others say or think. My life and weight has nothing to do with them after all.

This happened to me at a church I used to attend . I lost 40 pounds and no one said a word. Made me feel invisible. What really ticked me off was the fact that the lady I sat next to regularly had once politely told me I needed to lose weight .

Wow, that was rude of her!! However maybe people don't comment because they don't want to make you feel uncomfortable? Or they think it would be rude and implying you WERE overweight? I've lost 30 lbs so far and only one person asked if I've lost weight but personally I don't want to talk to people about my diet and that I'm trying to lose weight. That's just me though, Im probably weird.

It's really sad that you feel you had to explain this. Keto is not only for "overweight people". I'm nothing like you...race, weight, health issues and I saw you as motivation. People are rude, insensitive, and uncomfortable with themselves, so instead of fixing that they zone in on someone else. Please continue to be my motivation!

I had just the opposite reaction. I took all their compliments to heart and got 'the big head' about how good I looked and lost sight of my goal. I've been stuck at a 81 pound weight loss for 2 years, which is good I guess. But my goal is another 40 pounds. Started back doing Keto the correct way, and denying to people that I've lost more weight. Maybe I'll make my goal by Christmas.

Thank you so much for sharing this video. I am 75 years of age and have struggled with auto-immune issues since 2001 and went through a couple years of chemo and steroids. But even though I came off the drugs, my health was not where I wanted it. Most people automatically think that weight loss goals are for vanity, but what good is thin if you aren't well. I happen to believe that our bodies are fearfully and wonderfully made. With every post from people that have gotten well on carnivore, I am propelled forward into a bright future. Thank you thank you. God bless you and Dr. Ken richly!

Too skinny even. I was so mad... but the skinny shaming got to me and I stopped keto🤦🏽‍♀️... I maintain it because I was working, but I've been home for 3 months now an have gained 15lbs.(untop of the 10 I had gained before the lockdown) Thanks to you for sharing this about not doing it for the weight loss but for your health, and so I'm going to get back on track.

Thank you for drawing the distinction between keto & "all those other diets" = I learned something new today! It's the health benefits, baby! The "insulin hack"! Perfect, because I need good answers for the detractors. The Manager at my "wellness center" recently told me that ketosis causes ketoacidosis (I know, I know; pure ignorance) & that they were going to put me on a 40% carb diet (nope, not gonna happen!) Just ridiculous control freaking. I walked straight out & joined another gym - one with professional bodybuilders & suddenly my keto diet is OK! 🤔 Bless you & have a great rest of the day with little baby! 🤗👶😇

On the heels of that my 9 year old daughter was diagnosed with bone cancer so high stress... since 2015 basically. Just starting my self care, healing and weight loss journey now. Not sure what triggered Hashi's gosh could have been a number of things. I just found Dr. Berry and through him you. I am grateful to find a real down to earth, this is the deal person like both of you are. Hashimoto's is awful no matter what weight you are. I admire your spirit through all this.

pretty impactful. I’m 5’6, 63 and was shocked when the scale reached 158 lbs. Reduced calories and low fat diet along with portion control was slow and frustrating the first 5 weeks followed by a complete stall in weigh loss. I was introduced to keto and researched everything I could about it when I came across your husbands channel. I put the fat back into my diet and followed OMAD. Just a few months in and I’m at my goal weight 125 lbs.

Thanks Neisha! I have been Carnivore for 1 year (August 12th) 2020 and I love Dr. Berry videos, however I saw your interview with Kelly Hogan and subscribed to you today. I really am grateful for this video because I have lost 60 lbs but no one remembers me that way unless I show them the before pics. I am finally after 10 years almost down to my pre pregnancy weight, and I had 3 kids...the last being a rainbow baby after 3 miscarriages due to Hypothyroidism brought on by the radioactive drink I drank many years ago to fix my Graves disease... If I knew what I know now and how I feel on Carnivore now I would have escaped all the heartaches with the weight and emotional issues that food impacts your body with. However, my compact size now is a bonus as you say...it is the way that I feel now and the energy and clarity that I have that has made it my lifestyle. Thanks for a great video. Lots of love from Athens, Greece . You and your family have to come visit one day.

Cycle your fat intake from what you normally take to a lower amount. They call it fat cycling. It works and breaks the stall. Good luck. Make sure your weighing yourself each day and approach any weight gain a healthy way to minimize extra weight gain. It’s tough but you just gotta put the plan together and use the right tools. Been there and done it. Hope this helps.

I was helping my daughter with my 3 grandsons at that time because she had major hip reconstruction surgery so I had to kind of ease into it. After about 4 months, I had lost 20 lbs and at my last check up my a1c is at 6.5. I have now lost 30 lbs and am trying to get it (my a1c) even lower. I know you hear stories like this all of the time and probably get tired of reading them, but after finding you and Dr. Berry, I stay more motivated. I sincerely mean it when I say,. THANK YOU BOTH for being willing to put yourselves out there and help the way you do. Sorry for writing a book here lol. I don't post often at all and I wanted to get it said. Thanks again!!! And btw, you were beautiful before and your beautiful now. Don't listen to the nay sayers. They are just jealous! 🥰

This is so inspiring, thank you! Ever since I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s I have been so sick and exhausted. I want to lose weight, sure, I’m a size 20. But even with Paleo and exercising everyday at 160 lbs a few years ago, I never felt well. I’m interested in this for my health as well. Thank you for your vulnerability, it’s so refreshing! You have such a sweet spirit.

I am older and much heavier than you and Am so glad you addressed this for all of us. I feel like I could win the carnival game where they guess how much you weigh. It is also so weird to me how some people can loose a few lbs and it is so noticeable and others lots and the look can be so different....and I won’t even talk about dropping dress sizes....ugh. Glad you are you. And I’m hanging in on my dirty keto.

Thank you for this. I'm 5'2&3/4" and also have hashimoto's. I ended up ballooning up to 197(with my 11th) I lost 43 then got pregnant with my 12th, I only gained 22 lbs eating the keto way during the pregnancy. I lost 32lbs after the pregnancy but just gained back 6lbs. I cut out dairy and it didn't seem to be helping so I started adding it back in. Guess it was doing something after all. Unfortunately I can't hide the 150 on my frame, it's on my arms badly. I tend to hold onto weight while nursing so have to wait to do longer fasting times after my little guy stops nursing. Till then dropping the dairy out again. I didn't find out I had hashimoto's till I was 33, so much damage had been done already. I feel like the women in my family that say they had hypothyroidism actually have hashimoto's but they won't test, just complain about it. Taking my oldest girls in one at a time and so far the first I took in also has hashimoto's. She's only 14 but grateful she found out early in life and we can help her instead of her struggling like I did!

I love your story ❤️❤️❤️. I’ve been overweight since having my babies. I am also 5’2 and at my heaviest after my 3rd and last baby I weighed 160lbs 😔. That was my breaking point. I’m 35 and I hated how miserable I felt and how ashamed of my body I was. I talked with my husband and he agreed to do Keto with me. He’s also overweight, and so we started Keto about a month ago and now transitioned to Carnivore. He actually loves Carnivore a lot more since he’s not a big salad eater lol. I’m down to 143lbs as of today. And very happy with more energy

I have a strong suspicion that I may have had Hassimotos. My labs were ok but like you, my symptoms were not. I went on keto 1.5 years ago and all symptoms are gone. My joints feel better, my hair loss is better, my fatigue is better, my itchy skin is better. I also was put on thyroid meds. After 1 month, I took myself off of it. My DR said I needed it but that was entirely incorrect. If I didn't make changes, I would have needed the meds. I am down 45 lbs and still working on it everyday. It's our lifestyle now and we are feeling so much better. I only wished I had done it sooner. Thank you for your time and putting out this fabulous content.

I feel you, I’m considered “skinny fat”. I’m 5’7 and weigh almost 200 lbs right now 😒 and when I tell people they’re shocked and they tell me things like “oh your skinny” “you don’t need to loose weight”. And I just say “well I feel like shit most of the time and I’m about 50lbs over weight, so yea” lol

Neisha, I am a 52 year young woman who’s also 5’2. Since last August I started keto and in four months I lost 40 lbs and maintain a 107lb. weight. Very, very few people noticed the weight loss and some asked me why I did it. My answer has always been to be healthy. I also suffered from major inflammation and hypothyroidism. Keto has helped a lot with this. Everything you mentioned about where you gained or didn’t is exactly what I’ve experienced. I’ve been exercising with cardio and resistance training. My question for you is: how have you kept your arms from not looking flabby ( bay wings)? I do tricep and bicep exercises which have helped but I can’t get the “ tightness “ back. Same for my belly. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. You look fabulous and thank you so much for sharing and keeping it real.

Thank you so much for sharing. I feel exactly like you do. I have 5 children total and the last one I had almost 3 years ago at age 36, I really have struggled and am still struggling to lose the weight from. I believe my age, the hormones from nursing for two and a half years and my ignorance towards what is actually healthy to eat has made it more difficult to lose the weight. I am wanting to lose the weight and conceive one more time and this time eat the right way on my journey. I also, believe it or not, have fertility issues and I am hoping and praying that the keto diet is going to help. Thank you for your encouragement, God bless you and your family.

Thankyou for your story. Like you I have hypothyroidism and on January 2 2019 I have to get my weight under control. My ideal weight is 140. I was 192 at 5'5...and we won't talk about BMI!! so in 9 months I lost the 50 lbs, and 30 inches from bust to waist measurements. I was so proud going from size 16 to size 8 or so! felt great healthy keto...people said oh I didn't think you weighed that much...how did you do it? I told them healthy keto, explainng the diet...oh that;s not good to not eat fruit and bread, pasta, beans etc....i had to give them a lesson....those that criticized are still putting off their weight loss. Not prediabetic anymore, dr. doesn't think I should be on it,...I don't listen. Thank you for your video...Like you said about the other diets ....so true. My BMI is now great(and yest I did slide off keto for a few months, but got back on)

Last Summer (July 22, 2019) I went on a weight loss journey and started Nutrisystem. I didn’t follow it to the tea because it just felt odd to be eating all the time and they were small meals. I did lose 15 pounds in 6 weeks but decided it wasn’t for me after doing research and learning about omad, low carbs and low sugar. I started eating that way and continued to lose 10 pounds a month. I needed to lose 35 pounds total and I took it off effortlessly with even an additional 10 pounds last November before all the holidays. I’ve kept my 45 pounds off for the most part (an occasional up 5 pounds if I over due the carbs and sugar) and feel so much better than what I felt on the nutrisystem diet. I’m not on a diet. This is my new way of eating and maintaining my new weight. Your freckles are adorable.

I so resonate with this! I was 125 before babies, gained 35 pounds with each pregnancy and lost it breast feeding, then since 2020 my weight creeped up to 165 at 5’4” and I just felt exhausted, bloated, foggy, etc. started the carnivore-ish diet 10 days ago to feel better but have also lost 5 pounds. This feels like something I can stick to long term and I feel amazing!!!
