Flair looked like pure sh*t in that match, and ANYONE who says different needs to send me some of whatever they're smoking or drinking, because you are blotted if you think that it was anything other than terrible. And, just to appease the hair splitters, I'm talking about the MATCH, not the build up.

I had him come through the Richmond VA airport into one of the restaurants the company I worked for managed. He sat down at the bar at 6am and at 6:00:01 he ordered a Sam Adams and drank them one after another for an hour before going through security then went into our bar on that terminal and had more. This was all before 8am. I was just thinking ‘jesus christ’ seeing him just putting them back. That was in 2014 and he looked horrible then, so I can only imagine how he looks up close now. Pretty sad really.

Sting's ability to listen and learn and know that he was green allow his career to last 40 years. Whereas the Ultimate Warrior, who was an egotistical maniac, went a few years (how I dont know) and then he died off!!

Meltzer is the Vince McMahon of wrestling ‘journalism’. He only likes what he ‘created’ ( Omega and the Young Bucks) and will push them to the moon and not stop no matter what. He needs to, but never will, realize that anybody can watch something and think its good, or bad, but the people who actually do/did the job will always know more.

It sold out more because the tickets are cheaper than MSG's tickets, which means, their presentation was more economically feasible than MSG was that year Mr. Mantell.

Sting is one of if not the most overrated guys ever, he got over off the back of other people who lifted him up and gave him their ideas. His in ring ability was always poor, his promos were terrible for years and eventually became just ok and his best run was literally sitting in the rafters doing nothing and then one day smacking a few people with a bat which says a lot. He benefited hugely from being a big fish in in a smaller pond and never taking the real jump to the big time were he would have been exposed pretty quickly and people would have got bored of him. Massive respect for having the career he had considering all that and he seems like a great person but he isn’t anywhere near the giant talent some like to portray him as. Classic example of a guy getting over thru smoke and mirrors booking and the way they were presented rather than actual talent.

Gotta hard agree. Always considered sting a boring character, he hasn’t done anything of notice since he went to wwe to fight one match.( wouldn’t even consider his time there memorable ) His entire story, I assume since I wasn’t alive to watch it, is just him breaking down a huge and powerful group the nwo. It’s like John cena taking out the nexus except nexus is made up of the biggest names like hogan and Bret hart. If nexus boosted Cena to untouchable level at one point I can only imagine what kind of pop a rogue vigilante would get when the enemy are stars like hogan. Still tho a character like that imo only lives as long as his enemies do. Like if Batman got rid of joker and Gotham was saved, powerless and all I just care about the conflict and story and you are just a person with a recognizable past and get treated as a legend of legends bc of it I mean cmon I can’t be the only one who sleeps a bit when sting was in the mic on aew or wrestling the story telling is just so minimal. I’m pretty sure it’s always the you guys are outcast so we’re gonna beat you up story with heels just being highschool bullies. the best part of him is the jokes they tell at darbies expense that he hangs out with old people😂

@@conchadeconchos there’s loads more to his story than the nwo stuff tbh… if anything his rise in wcw and the feuding with flair and the horseman was actually his best in ring work but that was because of the people they surrounded him with not because of his actual talent. He also feuded with the dangerous alliance and was surrounded by people like Dusty, Rude, Steamboat, Windham etc as well as a big program with Vader. All his best actual matches happened pre 95 etc and are the stuff that are worth watching if you’re too young like you say because he was put in with people that actually wrestled and could carry him. He’s gimmick had gotten old and boring by 95 tho and when hogan joined wcw they paired them up together, he then recreated himself as crow sting in 96 and the NWO stuff started, that became the height of his popularity, his biggest run and the thing people remember him for these days tho The NWO stuff actually ruined him and the potential he did have in a funny way even tho it was his high point because he fell into a formula were he was super over without having to really do anything. Most of the stuff after with TNA was cringe and the WWE and AEW stuff isnt even worth talking about tbh
