What a wonderful surprise! The day before my birthday, one of my spirit animals/clades gets highlighted. Guard geese are not something I expected, but make perfect sense! Using their aggression for human benefit is such a genius idea. Here's hoping we get more of this series! I'd love to see/commission enantiornithine parrots in Kairul or remote islands if I get the funds to do so.

A welcome surprise! I'd assumed based on some of your tweets that you were doing a general episode on waterfowl of Kaimere. While I'm sure that would've made for a great episode (and I hope someone sponsors it at some point), giant guard geese were something I didn't expect at all but at the same time make perfect sense given the context. It was also nice to get a bit of a peek at the ecology of the Free-States. I think I remember you saying at some point that you were holding off on exploring that until you had adjacent areas more developed, so that was another welcome surprise.

@TalesofKaimere I love your work and cannot wait to see more of this project. Your work has helped to inspire me to create my own spec evo project about an alien planet using the tips you gave in your tutorial video. I put a few dinosaur species and other prehistoric species on my planet that have evolved to survive on the planet. I thought about having them brought by a hyper advanced race but I had the idea that they were brought from magic that has been dormant since landing on the planet when the whispering door sent out magic colonies. When it suddenly and briefly reawakened it replicated life from either Cretaceous earth or red spring Kaimere. Thanks again for inspiring me to create my own spec evo project and keep doing what you’re doing. You are an inspiration to us all

I like domesticated birds, though the one that I like the most isnt nearly so fierce. Coturnix quail may be violent towards each other but at their size and not showing the same bloodlust towards other species they would make a terrible guard animal, especially since the #1 thing that kills captive quail is in fact rats. Quail also only live 2-4 years generally, its also alarming how remarkably good they are at finding a way to die because they will find it if its there.
