@@stephenkingbookclub1054ok but who is she? I've been trying to figure that out all over. From this video to the "Dolan's Cadillac" one, to google, and so on. Where's her credit? Also I'm curious because she sounds just like the girl from Secret Base

One summer night, years ago, my husband and I got lost in Yosemite Park, our flashlights went out and it got cold we stumbled upon a park ranger's shelter no one there, but we were able to sleep and find warmth even some stale coffee, before we found it. I was horrified. Being lost is no fun but being a child with nothing to sustain yourself would be more so a horrific experience. I read it. Great little book. King's most frightening when he touches us with reality.

As a lifelong Maine Resident myself it's great that you're bringing so many of our local stories into the spotlight. I don't know of a single person who didn't hear about Trisha's story in school but she's always been "just a little girl" to us. It's really nice to hear from her now that she's all grown up. Looking forward to following you further along this journey.

Hey, you just summed up what I remember about that story. The terror of being vulnerable to wilderness, through the eyes of a child. This feeling is the only memory that comes to my mind. I read it many years ago, and I forgot how it ended. Was she rescued at the end? I don’t recall if the book has a happy ending.

@@mademoisellenseven Time to dust off some old tomes! This channel has reminded me also that it's that time! I'm not really into the newer books but it might just be that time of my life😢! It took me several tries to read The Stand because I just couldn't get into it, but when I did, Bam! I couldn't put it down h even read it twice & then the unedited once😊!!! Tom Gordon was one of my favorites!

I've only ever read maybe 2 of King's books (Dreamcatcher and 1 more that I can't remember the title), but I've seen a few of his movies & tv series (my favorite is Shawshank Redemption & Rose Red). I stumbled over this channel and now I'm hooked! I absolutely love the "deep dive" into the lore of a story, to give it deeper meaning. And wow, it's actually creepier to see these stories from the perspective of a podcaster than the actual characters of the stories. Well done!

It is the only book I have read that gave me a Misery moment. I was pretty irritated with end because once the book got going it was like riding a bullet train and the end was the cinder block wall it slammed into. I won’t explain it in detail in case people show up who haven’t read it. Pretty excited I had never heard of “Desperation” until finding this channel. Searching for a copy I discovered its mirror novel “The Regulators” they both just arrived today.

"The world had teeth, and it could bite you any time it wanted." George, I gotta hand it to you: You come back swinging more than Freddy Krueger! My hat is off to you! Also, good for Tricia! I totally believe she'd become a park ranger after her experience. After you escape ghoulish priests to wicked gods, you can take anything! *Also* also, good luck in fucking Derry! Avoid the sewer grates, don't talk to anybody, and for God's sake if you see any clowns, run for the hills!

Again i love the core of the work but everytime an ai image pops up it makes me so frustrated because i know you could do better and that you dont want to support these companies stealing from actual artist.

As an actual visual artist and illustrator, I would be more than happy to volunteer my work! But I suppose that hiring a human who works in real physical media takes more time and money than most people are willing or able to pay, and as we've seen in music already, it's the art that's going to suffer for it. Which is sad, because AI is fast, and true mastery in any of the arts requires time and patience, things that seem to have less and less value of late.
