It’s been a hot minute since I read proverbs, but the general gist in Proverbs 31 is that a strong, ideal woman is one who is wise, makes good business decisions and purchases and sales, builds her own house, provides for her family, holds land, crafts goods and works with tools, and cares for the poor and needy.

This Channel is so off-putting because the Channel Message is just God-Propaganda that would embarass any real God with any Selfawareness. I mean, the Channel-Message is „Christianity defines Womanhood“ and thats objectively wrong. Sorry to be so blatant about it, but Those girls dont even realize that they have had the Audacity To basically declare themselves God - seeing as how THEY set the new Rules. THEY define what a Woman is. But no. There is no debate about the Fact that Chrisrianity is not all of Religion; there are other Religions. Christianity does not Equal Religion in Size; and Religion then does not equal all of the World and all of Humans (not even half of humans, which is Girls). So no. We can easily conclude: The Channel-Message leeches onto real facts, like ‚Society has weird standarts for Woman’, which is true, but ist just leeching onto to be relatable. Objective truth and no debate: Woman are not Defined by Religion, let alone one single Religion. A WOMAN IS PERFECTLY FINE WITHOUT BELIEVING IN GOD. That is the objective Fact that is not up for Debate and i think thats what is so off-putting; i mean, aside from the simple fact that they think they know what God wants and thinks... i mean, that alone is also kinda off-putting in terms of sheer audacity, but ok... whatever.

Since everyone is recommending LGBT media here, read Rick Riordan's books. The first series is pretty straight but after that the later series (es?) are very gay. Magnus Chase has a genderfluid character, Heroes of Olympus talks about a god with a boyfriend (and more but I'm trying really hard not to spoil the books), and Trials of Apollo confirms the main character is bisexual and has multiple same sex relationships. Simon vs the homo-sapiens agenda and Leah on the offbeat are good too.

"...as if the solution to trauma is just to have some children." Wow that bothered me SO much, kids can never be "a solution to trauma" or a solution to anything. Kids are exhausting and a strain on any relationship/marriage- and I say this as a teacher who loves kids and definitely wants to have kids. This christian view of how children are the greatest and only fulfilling thing in a woman's life is so harmful.
@hldr43454 жыл бұрын
Not only that, but children will see themselves as objects of moral and intellectual pleasure, instead of human beings, making them value themselves based on their ability to make people happy. That's what happened to me.
@dear-pixel-heart4 жыл бұрын
Exactly, Anna and HLDR you are both 100% right in what you've said. I find this girl defined book to be disturbing and twisted. As someone with immense childhood trauma who was raised in a extremely religious (I am not religious) and abusive family, it was really triggering in particular to hear them mention that in their book, among other things. I really appreciate that so many do not agree with Girl Defined! Also HLDR, I am sorry for what you've experienced, you didn't deserve that, and I hope you are doing better now.

@rattersworld10162 жыл бұрын
No, you need to get this *gay*.
@Nassifeh2 жыл бұрын
As much as is wrong with these two., I think this is a generational/cultural thing. For a lot of Millennials especially (but some Gen Xers too) a "girl" is any female the speaker's age or younger (possibly up to the speaker's mother's age) and "guy" basically overlaps "boy" for all of puberty and extends through the Boomers. It doesn't mean you think everybody you use that word for is in the same age category.
