Absolutely!! I adopted a feral cat a few years ago, she was the most difficult cat I've ever had at first, but now she sits on my lap and loves lots of hugs and kisses. She such a sweetheart now, but I also have to allow her as much space as she requires to live happily and freely. This video reminds me of her all over again ❤❤

I have 2 ferals, i just fed them.basic food and water. Me myself would cook ribeye steak, salmon, snapper, bacon ........... I was accepted fairly quick, now we are best couch buddies 😂

This is so sweet. I had a cat, I named him Fat Jack. He would come over everyday to eat and drink. Then he started asking for more food although he had already eaten. After about a week or so, I decided to see why Fat Jack wanted more food, after I placed the extra bowl on the front porch, I hid and Jack went over to the bushes and called out, after a couple of minutes a small Siamese cat (female) came out and very cautiously approached the bowl, she looked at Jack first then she started eating. After eating she left and I came out and told Fat Jack that he didn't need to pretend. That I would give his little girlfriend food too. The next day when I looked outside there was Fat Jack and his little girlfriend waiting together for their breakfast. ☺️🐈🐈

@Ghostfem I can't be absolutely certain, but my take on the situation is that Peach, the ginger tom, is at least a year old and fully grown, while Pumpkin, the calico female, is younger. Peach is likely a runaway, i.e. a cat who has lived with humans in the past, based on his behaviour. Pumpkin on the other hand is likely feral, i.e. born and raised without human contact. Again, can't be sure, but that's what it looks like to me. I suppose it's possible that they share a parent, but I think it's unlikely that they were born in the same litter. Also, based on their behaviour, I'm certain that these cats knew each other and had formed a family group _before_ moving in with the lady. The way they started grooming each other as soon as they met is not something you'd see if they were strangers.

Feral cats bond like no other cats I’ve ever seen. I have 3 sets of bonded pairs who are INSEPARABLE… when I started bringing them inside n acclimating them to an indoor/outdoor enclosure.. I learned VERY QUICKLY that I could not separate the pairs otherwise it caused sooooo much more stress to them. I’ve been caring for them for 5 years now and even moved 850 miles with my entire feral colony who I inherited when I lived in NOLA (nobody was caring for them. They just lived under my house. So they became my family) and they’re all still as thick as thieves. None of my house cats are bonded in the same way my ferals are to one another. It’s a very beautiful thing to be able to witness.

The world needs more compassion and love these days!! Keep us posted. Did you ever take them to the vet to ensure their wounds don't get infected? I know vets can be expensive. But you'd be amazed how generous people can be when you ask for donations to help care for your new fur babies!!

My long departed Grandma used to say that stray animals find certain humans because they are imbued with spirits of those who passed from their families...probably not true but sure made me feel good adopting a similar stray who was wonderful after my dad died... it didn't matter if it was true or not - the point is that it's a shame more people don't realize how GOOD and medicinal animals can be for all of us.

A friend of mine did that with two strays. She had a old man she cared for that she named Kirby, but he would stop at actually coming inside. He found a youngster and taught this protégé to love getting pets from my friend. Kirby was old and very set in his ways, but he gladly accepted attention, food and a shelter from her and Dexter was always with him. After the old man crossed the bridge, Dexter was much more interested in her door. The only reason he hadn’t come in was because he didn’t want to leave his buddy alone. But before he decided that he wanted to try “inside”, he’d found a youngster of his own. The baby was still skittish, but Dexter showed him that my friend was nice. Sage finally warmed up, but like his mentor, Dexter wouldn’t leave Sage outside alone. Dexter and Sage have been Dee’s indoor cats now for about a year and a half or so. Sage grew up into a gorgeous tabby floof. They love to bird watch, but they don’t have any interest in going out anymore.

Peach reminds me of one of my current cats, Colby. He's and orange tabby as well. Came around for a long time to get fed and petted, but didn't like being inside until he came up a couple winters ago with a bum paw. Something got him good as his paw was infected and he had bite marks all on his leg. He's an indoor kitty now and has bonded with another stray orange tabby female I took in a year or so before him.

We recently had an orange tabby adopt us. We live in the country so I think he was dumped. Brought him in because of predators. Took him to vet for a check up and found out he had already been neutered but no tatoo or microchip. 2 or 3 years old. He has turned out to be the best cat I've ever owned.

Sorry, but I can't wrap my head around people killing their own pets. I have a cat now said to not live after he got hit by a car!! Not only is he still living now healthy at 16, his severe injuries did not prevent him from playing like a kitten now! We insert our thoughts too much and take it as reality. Maybe we should start euthanizing older people too because of our great love?

Death is natural, just let life take its course. We want to control everything! Imagine we start killing the mentally ill people to end their suffering? It does not make sense, not one bit. My cat Angut got severely ill at 13 months after the accident due to a lot of complications, we were adviced to consider ending his misery. Guess what, when I get back home today he'll jump over my lap for pets. He's still picking up fights with the neighborhood cats stronger and younger than him, almost twice his size! Even if the injuries would take him, then we did our best to care and treasure his life. Not to take ownership of his breath and push a button like he's an electrical appliance!!
