3rd Strike hands down is one of my all time favorite fighting games. The music was amazing. Quite possibly one of the best fighting game soundtracks ever. "Beats in my head". Not to mention a great ensemble of characters featuring classics like Ryu, Ken, Chun Li, and Akuma. To newer one's like Makoto, Ibuki, and Elena.

Nah, you got it wrong. New Generation is where the game failed massively, Second Impact improved some things but still not enough, Then Third Strike came which was finally able to get some attention.

Never played a Street Fighter I just know my friends thought 4 was amazing and 3 was terrible But I also know that these numbers meaningless because each numerical entry has multiple versions that are sufficiently different. Ima just stick with my weapon based arena fighter over to the side, Soul Calibur.

Street Fighter III: New Generation is no where close to being Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike and Street Fighter III: 2nd Impact is pretty different. 3rd Strike's soundtrack is pretty good and the character selection is nearly twice that of the first two versions.
