NOTE: weapons are dangerous. Some types may be illegal to own or carry where you live around the world. These videos are primarily designed to provide a historical flavour of how things may have worked, or were taught / used. The onus is always on you to know the law and the repercussions as it applies to you. Train safely and responsibly.
Welcome to the Bartitsu Lab. Home to content covering historic and modern arts.
The channel has a focus on the arts of Edwardian / Victorian Britain and the WW2 Theatre, though you will see many things outside of that too.

Razor was very popular in Brazilian underworld in the first half of past century. It was not held this manner: the blade is open at right angle and kept between index and middle finger, edge upward. There was a popular myth that a silk handkerchief wrapped around the neck protects the wearer against razor cuts.

Razor: i think the duster grip might work. But anything else is so-so dangerous for the User. This blade has almost no handle at all..,

Heh. My teachers have always said "Assume there are more of them. They're bigger, faster, stronger, armed, and on better drugs than you are."

Surely if you're hitting someone by surprise on the back of the head, it's not self defence?

I have carried lots of sap's here in America. It seems very unnatural to me that an Englishman doesn't have the right to defend himself.

Not just England. In half of Europe it's also the same. Holland, Germany, Belgium, Scandinavian countries have different weapon laws. In most your not allowed to use anything to hurt another human being. You know. Because criminals always follow the law and civilians are never their victims.

The collar bone fucks your shoulder nerves up when it breaks depending on how it breaks cos I broke both of my by getting run over at 40mph and couldn't move either if of my arms at all. So I guess depends on the severity of the injury cos my pal broke his collar beine after falling off his bike but could still move his arm but turns out it was fracture not a break. Literally it depends in the severity of the injury

I haven’t seen this video but I always carry a asp baton and a knife or a pepperspray and a brassknukle, I Cary always two sets of weapons one left pocket and outher right pocket. When I got disarmed or my arm has being controlled then secondary weapon will come out.
